My Taurus guy/I'm a Virgo gal

New to this awesome board, lots of great info!

I was married to a Taurus man for 18 years, the best relationship by far, he passed away 3 years ago and I miss him very much. I have been in a new relationship with another Taurus for 4 months now, this relationship is alot different while it's good, its very different. He is a great guy loving, attentive, caring but we only get to see each other about once a week. The communication is very poor when we are apart and my other Taurus was so different with communication, this has been quite a struggle for me. So my question is, I feel like I do most about 90% of texting, checking on him and letting him know I'm thinking about him while he does always text back right away he never reaches out first. Does he expect me to do this or should he do at least some of the communicating? I'm certain he's interested, he has confessed his love and we've talked about feelings and even alittle about the future. I'm just kinda wondering if this sounds like this relationship is moving forward?

He's showing you that he's interested , but maybe safeguarding himself as well.

Most Bulls are, but depending on their placements (especially those with fire, may be more assertive).

I would just have that discussion with him and fall back a little.

He may try to reel you back in. This can also be a contradicting element for a Bull. The 'shyness' fears rejection and abandonment, but the horns wants to keep you locked in.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was playing this all out in his head..."Lets see if she is really interested..."

Thank you so much for your reply! It makes alot of sense, I'm thinking he is very shy and assessing everything. I have really enjoyed him even though we don't get to spend alot of time together, its been nice.

They are just slow, give it time. Maybe text him after Christmas?

How's it going? I'm in a relationship with a Taurus and he despises texting. He only calls and that, daily. If he's staying in touch in some form, I'd say he's interested. Maybe back off initiating contact a bit to draw him out. But be honey when he does.

I don't like to text that much because of various reasons, to say a few;

- Its only text without any emotion

- You could read in a different, negative way which isn't his intention at all

- Or can come over as clingy or desperately seeking for attention

- Too much texting makes you silence when you're together because you have talked so much already

Being next to each other gives you the advantages of talking directly, being romantic, facial expressions, touches and answers right away. Being romantic over text means not that much to me; I read it once and thats that. Actions speak louder than words for a Taurus.

Yes we can be slow but thats something personal. We must be sure first before proceeding and giving more of ourselves. Show your interest but never haste or push him. He will definitly show his interest too some way if he's really interested.

Thanks everyone for your input, it makes perfect sense. Since the original post, things have been unfolding right before my eyes. It's crazy, the experience with my Taurus husband so many years ago started coming back to me and I remember so much now of what everyone is saying. I gave my new Taurus his time and space, only reaching out when I wanted him to know I was thinking about him, again he always replied in a timely manner, I was not pushy about meeting up or talking on the phone or feelings-- just plain ole friendly stuff. That was when it all started to turn around, he called me on the phone a few times, one morning before work to see if I could meet for breakfast that was very nice....just all around different. It's really been a breathe of fresh air, I can't wait to see how it all unfolds. Again, thanks to everyone that took some time to put my mind at ease.

Maybe its nothing. We are singleminded and mission driven so we are immersed in other obligations

when we are not with the womanfolk (i always wanted to use that term someday).

Many woman think something is wrong when men dont text them a lot. That is the last thing a taurus would do.
