You know, I've often kicked myself right in the rear end for not taking mechanics at school. I could have saved quite a bit of money on auto repairs. And gotten dirty too, always a bonus.

I don't really think I have a preference. My main goal is can it take me from point A..to point B, back again.. and not rattle, smoke, slip a timing belt, blow a gasket, piston or other. Make sure the engine block or unibody isn't cracked..everything aligned, rotated, lubed and no hoses are going through a terminal meltdown. And please, please, don't let the muffler fall off mid-traffic.
