Taurus Man Behaving Badly - or is this normal!

Hi everyone, I am new on here.
Basically, my boyfriend keeps blowing hot and cold and I am not sure where I stand.
In the begining of the relationship when we were still edgy around each other, he told me
that 'Long distant Relationships don't work', but ok, he will give it a shot. We live 5hrs
drive away from each other.

2yrs on (and many visits later) with him blowing hot and cold in the last year, e.g,
not hearing from him for days so far 5days at the most), then when he text/IM/calls,
he acts like he's never been gone.
I told him I need more from him e.g, more communication, more signs of committment,
verbal words of endearment etc., and as I am not getting it, lets call it a day.
He got upset and said 'would I abandon a man when he's down',
I said no, but we seem to 'not' be on the same page. I reminded him what he said early in the relationship
that 'long distance relationships don't work', He now he says it is up to us to make the
relationship work, and we have to work at it.

His business is not doing very well at the moment (not helped by the economic downturn),
so He's always broke and he is depressed at the moment.
He asked me if I would lend him some money, but I said no. I'm not sure, but I Also feel
like sometimes he says things on purpose to make me jealous/provoke me - have not had this in
any previous relationships, so don't know what to say, and only think of good retorts
way after the event!
I still love this guy, but don't know how long I can hold on. We are still getting to know
one another, and I know I have to be patient with Taurus as they take their time with everything,
but man! I don't know how much more of this I can take!
Any ideas/advice?

I forgot to mention. He told me he misses me when I am not around, and thinks his
business problems his making him moody and depressed.
He is Taurus 42yrs(never been married) and I am Scorpio 39.

I too am scorp with a taurus male...and I thought we can play jedi mind tricks...I think Taurus men are very calulating and I think they always have an ace in a hole...and they are not opposed to using a woman if need be, but they convince themselves of their greatness so that you wont see the truth!

the truth is they are sentimental, but love money more! so keeping your pics mean nothing....Why wait unit he is down to want to hook up? and to ask you for money is suspect! Any man asking me for money has got issues! Im not a bank and we are not married! keep it moving!

I think you have soo got Taurus sussed on this one!

I can't prove it, and I don't like to think too much about it, but sometimes I feel like he is keeping his options open, and he is thinking about lining-up another woman - somewhere. Maybe one who is stupid enough to lend him the money he needs...

Then again, maybe I've got it totally wrong. Arghhh!! I hate this!

WOW! my sentiments exactly..cant put my finger on it but I feel the same..I think its our spidey senses kicking in..or should I say scorpio senses....LOL They are about that money...we know it and they know it, but we choose to overlook it! Just a thought when I act short and cold and a day or two aloof he seems to open up more and be more revealing about what is going on..good time to catch him up in all his butter, but thats just me...?
