Jaime and Brienne are actually two of my favorite's in the series 😄 Jaime is so flawed but I get him completely.
Margaery...they're doing a FANTASTIC job with her in the show. She wasn't one of the poV characters in the books but I love how they are expanding on her in the show. Completely playing the political game perfect. Damn it's pissing Cercei off 😄

You should have seen me watching the finale of that episode. I KNEW what was coming but as soon as she spoke Valyrian, I just started grinning. I couldn't have been more happy with how they did that scene. Its my favorite Daeny chapter from the books. Plus, the actresses nailed it with each of her subtle expressions. Perfect. Utterly perfect.

I completely got a different vibe off this. Straight up, Margaery is playing "The Game". The connotations are a bit more subtle on the show but the Tyrell's are completely a matriarchal house. The women completely run the show and hold the power. Since the world is still dominated by male-power, the Tyrell women usually marry some man that can play the figure head while the ladies pull the strings.
To further this point, remember that scene where Varys (The bald headed guy on the small council who got his cock severed) is making the power play against Littlefinger? Who did he approach? Not the male head of the house but Lady Olenna (The bad ass old lady I'd NEVER want to engage in a verbal joust with 😛 ). She's the one with the power.
Anyways the reason I blathered on is I think you're RIGHT in not feeling the sister-friendship thing. Sansa's vulnerable and Margaery knows how to play the situation to favor her house (influenced by Lady Olenna). As to whether its a "hot girl on girl action" expression? hmm hard to say. Though in my mind I can imagine Margaery being completely kinky as fuck 🙂

The deviations so far have been "fair" in my opinion. The purists are mad but what do you expect? They're purists about it. I'm on the side realizing that adaptations have to be made for television (a visual product) versus something written.
I hope the wiki didn't spoil much for you this season. This season had some intense shit happen (as you saw in Epi 4).
Anyways Book 3 is being broken into two seasons (this one and the next).
As to whether they are going to deviate for this season / book? The answer is... No *grin*

Arya is absolutely one of my favorite's.
Part of it for me goes beyond the whole "aww, what a sweet little girl" concept. She's a sweet little girl who's experienced terrible tragedy and rather than succumb to it..she's becoming more and more bad ass every day.

Hmm for those of you new super fans, here's an idea of how bad ass Daeny's soldiers are...
(Quick Reminder: The Dothraki and Khal are the mounted horse warriors Daeny married into in Season 1. Part of why Khal Drogo was respected was because he never lost a battle, thus his hair had never been cut)
Battle of Qohor
The Battle of Qohor also knowns as the "Tale of the Three Thousand of Qohor", was a battle roughly four hundred years prior to the War of the Five Kings and took place outside of Qohor.
Prelude
After the Doom of Valyria the Dothraki first rode out east of the Dothraki Sea, it can be assumed that the fall of Valyria and the chaos that followed it is what prompted (and perhaps allowed) the Dothraki to attack with such power. 50,000 Dothraki, at least half of them warriors, were led by horse lord khal Temmo, sacking and burning every town and city in their path. Aware of the Khalasar advance, the Qohor strengthened their walls, doubled their garrison, and hired two mercenary companies besides, Bright Banners and the Second Sons. They also sent a man to Astapor to purchase three thousand Unsullied.
Battle
During the first day of the fighting the Dothraki were unmatched, Qohor forces were shattered, its heavy horse annihilated and the sellsword companies had fled in the face of hopeless odds. The Dothraki had retired to their camps to drink, feast and rest before their final assault at dawn brake. However, during the night, the three thousand Unsullied had finally reached the city and come dawn, were waiting for the Dothraki horde arrayed in battle formation before the city gates. The Dothraki, could have easily out flanked such a small force but in their contempt for infantry, launched a direct frontal assault, in an attempt to simply ride down the heavy infantry. Eighteen times they charged and attacked the Unsullied ranks and Thrice sent their archers wheeling past raining arrows on the Three Thousand, each time failing to break through. Finally the Dothraki halted their attacks after the Khal, his bloodriders and sons had been killed. Their losses were staggering: 12.000 dead. Only 600 Unsullied remained, but the victory was theirs nonetheless. Four days later, the new khal led his remaining khalasar past the city gates in a stately procession. Each man cut off his braid and threw it down before the Unsullied.
Aftermath
Since that day, the city guard of Qohor has been made up entirely of Unsull

EVEN as someone who knew what was coming, it still hit that emotional investment I have in the story and characters. Watching Talissa get stabbed in the belly completely got an audible "OH FUCK!" out of me when watching

Was not expecting that, and I'm pissed off about it too.
As you should be! Obviously everyone wasn't in love with that character but the story was told to view him as a "Good guy" and stereotypically loved by everyone.
No one expects the good guy to die. Even with Eddard being taken in Season 1, no one expected Robb to get killed.
Conversely, if you think about it. Robb was murder and betrayal all derived from the decisions he made. They may have been "Right" decisions but definitely not "Smart" decisions.
I think that's what makes the storytelling here utterly brilliant.

When I was reading the books and finished this chapter...
I closed the book.
Proceeded to THROW IT against the wall.
Didn't TOUCH the damn thing for three weeks.
The whole time muttering "George RR Martin, you sadistic...brilliant...fucking bastard."
Even with all that said, I will admit I drank in the sweet, sweet tears of all the show watchers 😄
