are you the type that will watch them when you are old?

here is a good blog on who watches Reality TV.

it just came to me, because I was showing my husband some reality tv clips, from the UK,

and he said "ooohhh I used to watch them when I was 13, 14 years old."

    "You don't anymore?"

    "uh no."

    "why not?"

"because they're immature and lame." then he shrugs, "I haveeee no idea, I just don't. not my thing."

don't know word for word but he just doesn't see the point since his early teens. Further in his teens, he was more into Martial arts shows. like the Highlander Series, and Steven Seagall which he LOLs about now. lol Cause look at Steven Seagall. haha.
also, some Jackie Chan. ect basically martial arts stuff which a lot of his guy friends also are in..

Yet, I see here on this forum over 25 years old and over 30 years old peeps watch Reality TV all the time, even some 40 somethings, maybe some in their senior years.

    http://www.cabletv.com/blog/what-kind-of-person-watches-reality-tv/

Your mom may have once told you that watching TV would rot your brain, but she probably never imagined the likes of Jersey Shore and Keeping Up with the Kardashians. If the TV shows you watched as a kid would rot your brain, today’s reality TV would surely turn it to complete sludge—right? Maybe not. Some studies have agreed that while reality TV might not exactly win you a MENSA card, it might not be as drool-inducing as your mom feared. In fact, you might be surprised at the type of people who count reality TV among their favorites.

At first glance, most reality shows target a young audience. After all, who cares about teen moms more than teens? But a younger demographic isn’t the only one taking in reality TV: While 68 percent of 18 to 29-year-olds give reality TV a huge thumbs up, 32 percent of adults 65 and up said the same1—and you thought they were all watching Matlock reruns. Of course, while reality TV appeals to all ages; it’s the type of reality TV that draws the line in the demographic sand. Younger viewers are happy to watch life style reality TV shows, dishing about Kim’s latest ugly crying session or bad girls throwing drinks at each other. Older adults seem to prefer competition-based reality shows—Survivor, anyone?

I've seen some clips on youtube but not entire episodes. It seems so boring.

    Blair and Chuck ?

I just realized you and I have different types of romance.

I like the Jane Austen types,

and you like the " 91/2 weeks" type.

    and look at them NOW...

Mickey Rourke has this SMILE all the time, the corner of his lips always uplift like he has a secret thought in his head, like har har har...heeheehee ho ho ho...

my man defended his face when it looks all raggedy now in his middle age, saying, "oh that's why he's changed, he was a boxer, a face is gonna get all messed up after all the punching."

    lmao

    I don't like 50 shades though

I don't either to be honest.

I couldn't get past the scene in the film on Netflix, where she meets him in the office.

I find their acting not so good together.

    just blah.

    no chemistry.

he is handsome, and she is pretty, but she lacks fire/passion or something...

and he seems out of place with her. I don't know...

    something is "off"

it's not like this chemistry to me, this is beautiful chemistry,

so weird cause he's Scorpio rising/Taurus moon/Virgo sun,

    and she's Capricorn sun/Virgo moon/Pisces mars/Cap venus.

    Why is it weird?

I'm a Virgo sun, Taurus moon and I like double earths plus her chart seems to go really well with his, right?

no I meant weird as in...that's WHY it looks good. lol

but why is it with Dakota Johnson....it's not that good with Jamie Dornan??

she is Capricorn dominant and Scorpio...but it's still blah, boring.

and he is a Taurus with leo moon and libra dominant.

hm maybe I just don't see it but maybe thousands do see it better.

  • My hype began when I was a kid when I used to watch Guts and Legend of the Hidden Temple-the reality game shows. Then I remember watching as far back as when Wife Swap aired. Moved onto Big Brother, Survivor, Fear Factor and the Bachelor-the theme being competitive shows. I started losing interest when I realized a lot of the drama was fabricated to increase TV ratings and they lost their realistic appeal.

I regained interest when the shows began to account for skill sets and not just pretty faces such as Richard Branson’s: The Rebel Billionaire. He is the owner of Virgin Mobile and was looking for someone to take over his company. And that lead to my fascination of The Apprentice/Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump because he had a group of people generating real life business ideas and apply them to the public.

Now the only shows I like to watch are Shark Tank and American Ninja Warrior from time to time when I can find the time to watch shows.
