There is a new beauty trend I just found out about where women are told that the my should be able to hide their entire waists behind a vertical piece of A4 paper. I saw the hashtag on Instagram and clicked it to find a plethora of pics of (almost all women) taking selfies while holding a piece of paper in front of their waists. If your waist shows from behind the paper = you've failed.

Women have taken to holding it horizontally and writing "F**k your beauty standards" and the like.

Have you heard of it?

*facepalm*

You mean the profile of their waist?

Because I don't see how a frontal shot of the waist is possible
The woman holds the paper in front of her waist, facing forward, as though she's holding up a name plate. If her waist shows from behind the edges of the paper, she's "failed" the beauty test.

Honestly, I can see women from specific culture and genetics "passing." A Korean woman, for example, may naturally have a much narrower waist and smaller bone structure than a a woman from another culture.

The same goes for the pens and booby challenge. What if he woman has very large breasts? Surely she could hold a pen.

How is that possible?

The width of A4 vertically is just under 9 inches
I'm not surprised you know that, Opposite Sign. =.=

It's just another example of the ridiculous standards set. There was a time women's feet had to be a specific size in China, and they were wrapped and deformed so that the feet would meet the standard.

Or women's necks in had to be a certain length, so rings were worn.

"Over the past few days, a trend known as the “belly button challenge” has taken off on, you guessed it, the social media. It began in China but is now uncontained, and involves many thousands of mostly young people posting self-portraits while trying to reach an arm behind their back and around to touch their belly button. A successful attempt is met with praise and affirmation, under the pretense that the challenge is a test of health and fitness. You are thin enough to reach around yourself, so you must be okay. An unsuccessful attempt is met with quiet inward shame."

The woman with the six pack proves them wrong. She is clearly healthy.

But, again, some Chinese most likely have a very different overall hip-to-waist ratio that is simply their genetics. Just like you can get very tall and thin Africans and then very short and stocky ones.

It's like when people on shopping sites company that the waist is too small for a medium. Well, in China, that may not be the case, so the person has to adjust accordingly.

There's the #tilttuesday thing I saw for ballet dancers, but that has been monopolized by pedos apparantly.
Ugh! I often wonder about those Instagram accounts that parents set up just for their kids. There was one where the mother (off camera) was printing her little girl to say goodnight and blow a kiss at the camera. The child was in full makeup and in tiny night wear.
