My 40 year old Virgo is a workaholic, divorced, shy, homebody & father of 2 kids. Dated for a year then recently got back together after 6 months. We have serious communication issues. Not a player either...I promise. Very loyal but has very little time for me. Only dated myself and one other gal since he's been divorced which has been 6 years. Birthday 8/31.

After all this time I seriously have no idea how he wants to be treated in our relationship. Should I lead, be clingy/not clingy, make dates to fit his schedule, bring him lunch to work? I haven't got a clue in the world!!

Any idea's guys?

His 2 kids are his priority and will be until they are adults. If you can't deal with that move on to someone without kids. Doesn't sound like he wants you to be a part of the family unit, because if he did he'd want you around him and the 2 kids all the time and would COMMUNICATE that to you. Maybe you aren't listening or taking that hint?

Why did you break up first time round?

The Virgo I was with operated by time slots. I'd barely get two hours a week. He thought he was being generous with four hours but I'd hear all about his very busy time schedule and basically how everyone was more significantly important than me. I think if he had done a list I'd have been number 56. That said, I had the same years ago with a Scorp too.

It might not be a Virgo thing. It might be a man thing.

If he's not asking you out and making reasonable plans then he might not be that interested in you. Sure, he's busy, has kids etc but no one is THAT busy to not make time for you. If he's not making time and you're both not compromising and happy with how things are then it might not be a match for you. He ain't gonna change!

It took me a while to learn the above! I finally got it into my thick head! Now I'm with a Taurus and he actually WANTS to see me. As in, he asks when we are seeing each other next, he makes plans, wants to do all that bf/gf stuff together... It's quite nice ŠðŸ‘ðŸ¼

You're a Gemini dating a workaholic. Oh dear...

What is the nature of your serious communication issues? I never had problems communicating with other Virgos.

If you want to know how he wants to be treated, ask him. Ask him what he wants out of you. Out of what you two have together, whatever it is at this point. Tell him to be honest with you. I'm a firm believer in letting other human beings know where they stand to prevent disillusionment and future disappointment. Asking doesn't make you clingy.
