Where are you from?
Perhaps you analyze way too much, and don't know how show emotions so any emotions are not your forte.. so you need to find someone who can show you a bit more nurturing, caring, and very spontaneous...so try a Gemini, Sagittarius, and Pisces...
California. I most recently got out of a relationship with a Scorpio... everything. She was scary. Scorpio sun, pisces moon, and most of her planets were in scorpio. I don't want to be suffocated again
So try those signs then should have no problem with suffocating much.
That's alot of water placements compared to yourself, so yeah you would feel like that. Some water is okay in a chart just the right amount. So be spontaneous and talk less.
A person with moon in Virgo would suit you fine. But, it's not like you can go out searching for this person.
Scorpios are hard for all people to deal with. They are indeed very smothering, and emotionally controlling.
A Gemini would probably be nice for you or a Taurus girl, since you've just come out of being with a Scorpio. Either of those two would be nurturing to you without being demanding, or have too high of expectations. That is if you're just wanting companionship.

So I'm a virgo sun, aquarius moon, sagittarius rising. My Venus falls in virgo and my Mars falls in jupiter. I'm a physicist, or perhaps a student of physics would be more accurate. Well, nothing is quite impossible. Youthful disenchantment might be at play here, or maybe my signs just make it so once I get past a certain stage I stop being good at people.

As a virgo I love connectedness and feeling like I'm helping. Same with my aquarian moon. But when she stopped giving me space. When she was jealous just because I spent time with my friends or on my studies, that's when I was like "I need room for air!"

I'm cooling with being smothered but I don't really understand jealousy when it comes to little things and it scares me off. I understand it's a way of showing you care, but when she got mad because I wasn't jealous of her hanging out with friends it didn't make a lick of sense to me

Virgo Venus will never be showy. We don't like that sort of stuff. You just have to find someone that understands that.
I also have a hard time showing affection unless I'm sure too. And that's ok.

I know it is. It's a pretty good combination with my Mars as well at least in my opinion. But my airiness and earthiness kind of leave me lacking some aspects.

I am going in April so I was asking which spots where cool to go to? Torrey pines is a hiking area and we'll downtown is gaslamp. I want to go shopping, eating, and chill out @Taureye. Which restaurants did you try?
@Taureye-I am really thinking about Balboa Park and it's multiple museums, the zoo, and safari park.
@Taureye -If I have enough time the la Jolla beach or one close to Balboa or a Gaslamp beach... I haven't been to SD since 8. I remember it being sunny, lots of people, swimming in the actual water, and looking down seeing a long brown object underneath my feet. I got out told my parents I saw a shark. After that I never get into water when I go to the beach. I tan, sit at the shore with my chair, and people watch or look for dolphins. Shop, eat. And eat funnel cakes.

Virgo rising here. I have this problem too. Sometimes. I've been told by some exs that I can be closed off and not very affectionate. I'm more of a do things for you kind of person. Maybe a cancer with earth placements? Like Virgo or Cap moon? They seem to bring out the affectionate side of me but with a good moon placement they can ease up on the clinginess?
Good luck dating can be tough.
