aquarius and virgo

I am an aquarius with a scorpio moon and rising and my partner of 3 years is a Virgo with an Aquarius moon and Sagitarius rising, is it possible for us to make it, I hear so many negative comments about Virgo and Aquarius together doesn't moon and rising come into play with this combination. Could someone please help me understand?

my mother is an Aquarius and I am a Virgo and our personalities always clash, it is not a match at all. We have been like this since I was thirteen always arguing and not communicating well. She is stubborn and very domeneering.

For the original poster. You guys must be doing something right if you've been together for 3 yrs. It's not based on sun signs, harmonious compatibility is based on the personal planet placement of the two people...Sun, Moon, Mars, Venus, Mercury and although not important for 2, but individually, one's Saturn placement.
