Then his dear friend of many years, who also just happens to hold a Ph.D. in psych, confided to me in an e-mail that our mutual friend (the Virgo) has an avoidant attachment style . Now I'm fairly well versed in most psych stuff but wasn't very knowledgable about "attachment style s," so I proceeded to do some Googling. Whoa, it certainly explained a LOT! (If you're not familiar with it, then my suggestion is that you Google it since I don't want to clog up the board here with a bunch of psych stuff.)
It has been said by more than one psyhch prof that astrology IS psychology. 🙂 AND I found some fascinating info on an astrology site about Virgos being born into families in which the mother had "issues" (and, likewise, Cappies born into families with father "issues," which certainly applies in my case). AND attachment style s are usually formed during infancy as a direct response to how the primary caregiver (in my generation that was usually the MOTHER) responds/reacts to the child.
All of this leading to .... The BIG Question: Has anyone here noted a correlation between Sun Signs and attachment style s or any other psychological theorems? The "avoidant attachment style " certainly seems to fit in with the Virgo tendency to be somewhat aloof/detached, and my own attachment style (not avoidant) would fit with my Sun Sign as well.
There are probably countless overlaps, but I was wondering about specific patterns or correlates noticed by anyone here.
