Cappysweetie, love your question πŸ™‚

Ageβ€”β€” what really is a number and how does one truly define an age? Honestly, that was one thing I could never figure out especially when I was a young girl goofing around the way a Freebird does....my mom would constantly say to me, "for pete's sake Freebird - act your age!" I immediately responded with, "and how does a 12 year old act? where is the book on that? help me to understand what you mean." As usual, she shook her head back and forth and wandered off mumbling..."don't know where you came from."

My take on the word age....it is just a number that if allowed, will put a fence around the person and their thoughts - it becomes a limit to what one thinks he "should" be doing or being. Birthdays really signify how many times the Earth has traveled around the sun - one revelation per year. In theory, we are ageless unless one chooses to think otherwise and that is cool too - whatever floats the boat that one is riding πŸ˜‰

Hey virgoangoat - my Dad is in his late 70's and a very active man - he appears to many to be much younger. It's all in the mind πŸ˜‰

I do have some concern with the notion that we should remain forever in our youth. Why? Because as a immoral, you don't really have a beginning nor do you have an end.

At least that's the way I see .....

I would repeat all of the ages. So in a nutshell I would come back over and over again to do what I was created to do the right way! So I guess I'd live forever.

Wrong board for these kind of threads, try the Pisces one..

Hey don't tell me where to post dude πŸ˜‰

Whatever, I choose the right board πŸ˜›

---------------------------------------------------

Anyway, staying at one age just seems so irrational to me and I don't understand why some people never want to age. What about gaining wisdom? How can you do that if you never age .....

Cappysweetie,

I think it depends on how one chooses to view the word "age" - "it's a privledge to grow old." ~ unknown

as well as the word "old"

I am a bit older than most people on this board and I have enjoyed every day of my life...everyday is my birthday! πŸ˜‰ So, I do not look at myself as "aging" or growing "old" but rather enjoying each day as the gift that it is being glad that I am here and I am alive.

I also believe that those who never want to "age" are fearful of this process - not sure why - they would have to express those thoughts.

You go girl...post where ya want to! I enjoy reading your posts :-)

OOOO someone's in a spicy mood today πŸ˜›

The amount of people answering the question isn't important. High numbers is soooooo not what I'm looking for when I post stuff ... geezzz :S

I post whatever I'm thinking at the time and if that's what I'm feeling then that's what I post. Like it or not, it's cool with me.

Hi Freebird!

Well, I posted this topic because last week I heard a few men and women (who are over the age of 25) say that they never want to get old. I lady I know says that she wants to be young and beauty for the rest of her life. Another said that she doesn't want to age anymore after the 25 and someone else commented that its all down hill after you are over the age of 25.

Some people have said that they wanted to be immortal too ... which is kinda wierd to me.

I don't understand why people fear a process that they can't stop ....

LOL @ Shaka and Freebird,

You two are probably right, I didn't think about it like that. Well one of the women that I spoke to speaks terribly about young women but she loves young men ....

*wink* πŸ˜›

eh, gaining wisdom with age is just life's payoff for all of the other things that deteroriate and go bad in the process...so its a trade off..lol.

hahahaha wheeze

geeeeeeze!!!!!

Cappy, I didn't reply to this thread before, but I was thinking the same as you. It's reeeeeally difficult for me to picture myself being old...and how different I'll be...but I definitely wouldn't want to stay any one age forever. Have you ever seen the movie Tuck Everlasting? lol...pretty much sums up my reasons πŸ˜›

I'd probably wanna stay @ 24 - not that I'm 24 yet (another few months till then) - but I can't imagine it being any different then being 23 either - but I like even numbers - and that one seems just right πŸ™‚

Would you be prepared to exist for all eternity?

i know we are eternal beings but i dont want to be eternal 😒.....

If you could stay at a certain age for the rest of your life, would you and what age would it be?

none.. i want to grow with time...dont want to be stuck forever at a certain age....all experiences are very important, all that i have gone thru in life has shaped my life and made me a better person... so i wanna grow old and see what life has instore for me πŸ˜›... i know its going to be a fun journey....life is, afterall, what u make out of it....just be positive and keep going... all will be fine... πŸ˜›
