I'm not so sure about that; I'd rather see Scorpio as Cousin to Virgo....it seems overall more acurate....Of course I'll ALWAYS debate Virgos affinity with Mercury, because it seems to weaken the mind, by spending it on petty efforts like critisms that nobody wanted/asked for anyway.....without critisms though....what would we have to talk about? lol

Uranus becuase it's about 'change' correct? Well who's most pressured to change, and alternate, and trancend their own faults?; it's becuase of that chaning process is directed 'internally' on the 'self' that there is a need to seek perfection, and refinement of all the mental facilities until complete realization of the mind is realized....mental expansion and expression of the mind. Basically, Uranus encourages an internal pressure, drive to be changed, and refined by logic, and time.


Pluto, becuase the very nature of Virgo, (as I've read at this location, http://www.soulindia.com/12signes/Virgo/virgo.html ) is stuck in alternation between Gregariousness, and Introversion; black and white, and basic struggle/war to harmonize the human spirit/soul to trancend their own personal/internal differences and become more of a 'whole' being. to bring together these seemingly contrasting Traits to become 'whole' is the name of the game people; for this to happen internal death, molting, sheding, peeling, and growth, and awareness in necessary; also it's to seek the spiritual, 'hidden' path or 'subcoscious' experience; to be aware of the self on levels I suppose.

also, I've been hearing talk about the Moon being the home of Virgo as well....I don't see what the moon has to offer virgo that she dosen't already possess....she has the intuition of a water sign, but it's wasted, (unacknowleged as are most of her real traits) because Mercury focuses on more 'immature' pursuits....gossip, small talk, and narrowed vision....face it, it's HUTING not HELPING....I can't see how after all of what I just said Mercury could possibly be the home for Virgo....Gemini perhaps, but Virgo? Branh:No, Scorp and Virgos are literally siblings. They are both born of the same ancient sign. That make them siblings. I would say a Gemini is a Virgo's cousin, because it is more of a decent relative of a Virgo.


I'd say lovers before siblings becuase they don't 'resmble' each other by any other means besides the glyph, they actually do nothing for each other in my opinion; being born of the same 'coincidental' sign(s) says nothing in the way of the big picture; they (Scopions) use subtle logic to subrogate/control intense feelings, but Virgo attepts to 'reconcile' these powerful elements of feeling/intution with logic/reason; it's when two oppositional forces struggle within themselves for change/evolution....and afterall, we happen to currently 'share' the same planet of Mercury as Gemini, but that's not saying that it's the HOME for Virgo Branh......Wishful thinking? lol

I admire water, but I wouldn't want it in my immediate sphere of involvement. I never really got along with ANY water sign on a more personal level of involvment. I could always maintain a friendship, but it was usually always staticky, and I found them to be small risk takers....and closed-minded....hard to grow/learn with them.

actually, branh is correct on this. i don't know if i would label them sibling signs, but whatever makes sense to the individual i guess. but like he said, way back when when astrology was still in its prime, there were only 9 zodiac signs, with virgo and scorpio sharing the same sign and libra hasn't come into the picture yet. as everyone ca see, the glyphs are very similar; scorpio representing the male (genitals) and virgo the female. because the zodiac consisted of an odd number of signs, they decided to split virgo and scorpio up with libra (in between the two for balance), making 12 signs. if you look into biblical text, libra came in between to save the two (and the world from devastation). i can't really recall other myths which i read a long time ago when i first started getting into astrology, but from the bits that i can remember, the two were "always in bed together" and so libra came in between, being a marriage sign, as well as a balance symbol. if i'm understanding you correctly, you implied that the two are drastically different. i somewhat agree with this assessment, because one basically uses intuition and the other uses logic and reasoning skills to deduce things...but from what i've seen, they usually reach the same conclusions, and both are investigators in my opinion. which leads me to say, that when they split, (for simplicity sake here) scorpio took black and virgo took white. hence, some say that "they are two sides of the same coin."

as you also said, you see them as lovers. this is also a valid statement. it has to do with the hades (pluto) and persephone (virgo) greek myth. but this myth came after they were split, and shows a union of the two. oh, something just hit, libra came in between, but libra also brought the two together, because eros was ordered by aphrodite to shoot one his arrows at hades to make him fall in love with someone...how funny, i failed to see the connection until now, lol. come to think of it, how did picses become virgo's opposite? i wonder what neptune (poseidon) had to do with astrea, demeter or persephone. research time i suppose.

anyway, about gemini and virgo being zodiacal cousins, i could go into my ideas as to how the two could be, aside from being ruled by the same planet. but then it'll just be more boring reading, and i would hate to bore you guys, lol. this connection isn't as interesting (in my opinion) as the hades and persephone myth. (vulcan is said to be virgo's actual planet, but it is yet to be found. likewise, apollo is supposed to be taurus' rightful ruler when it gets discovered.)

Someone appears to be more obsessed with 'order and fairness' than actual logic, and reason; so what if there were an uneven amount of signs, what does that do in the way of what ACTUALLY EXISTS? Libra is useless, becuase the balance is ALREADY ACHIEVED IN VIRGO; it's the unification of black and white; the reconciliation of the extremes of the self Good V. Bad, Light V. Dark ect.... functioning for the whole of society/humanity; virgo is in possesion of great intution, and logic, the point of virgo is to bring these seemingly oppositional forces together to reach internal harmony. Scorpio just represents a more detailed analysis of the internal battle for doing more than just selfish things. It's far TOO DETAILED and really is useless in the bigger picture; from internal perfection, we go to balancing (what might I add needs to be balanced if we are already in the process of balancing in the first place?) two lovers? whatever, then we go to Scorpio....if you compare this with biblical/mythological hairsplittling than, yeah, I suppose you could reason some logic out of Libra's Existence, and Gemini's Kinship with Virgo, but Overall, I say no.

Also Agent; why do the two need to be brought together? Scorpio & Virgo I mean? That need could just happen, so why do we need to go all in depth with that idea (Libra) in the first place? It's a matter of posessing individuality, and self-control instead of relying on some so-called universal order that theorectically dosen't exist in form, just in philosophy to govern you.

I believe this whole system is flawed and based on one mistake after another.....no sense at all; basically, it sounds like a popularity contest rather than an actual cosmic design to display a persons position in their life cycle....

i'm not going to say that balance is not achieved in virgo, but i think it is perfected in libra. as for the odd number of signs in the beginning, i really don't know why they decided to split virgo and scorpio and then also add libra. as i said, from what i remember, libra was sent to save the two and the world and therefore provide a balance. i think if you add virgo and scorpio together, it might be too much of a good thing for one sign.

i never said the two needed to brought together, they were just brought together because aphrodite did it on a whim, or rather out of boredom according to the myth. oh, and sorry if this became way too technical for you, didn't mean for it to be this way.

chiron was intended for virgo, but capricorn and aquarius (even though they already have their own planetary rulers) are also contenders. so i guess for the time being, it remains somewhat like an asteroid.

It's not that I'm NOT interested. It's just it's all in the abstract, or in the past, and since no one is making any DEFINITE moves or declarations, why apply so much attention to this subject? One idea is as good as all others, and since nothing is actually being disputed, or put to the test, why focus so deeply on it, it just goes, on, and on, and on, ect....lol

i haven't scratched the surface yet, lol. and i don't need an opposition to bring this up, i just think that knowing a bit about the background helps in geling how the signs work with each other. sort of like a piecing a puzzle together in a way, at least in my opinion.

my apologies for making it seem like a novel, lol. at first i thought reading the history of astrology was boring too, but i wanted to understand the signs better and why they were assigned certain traits. and so i started researching. it's not that bad actually, just some myths aren't that fascinating.

I do appreciate the data, it's just, something NOW needs to be DONE, SOLIDIFIED, and PUT TO THE TEST; it's like, how much longer do you want to walk around before you realize you're only avoiding your TRUE destination? lol silly really, let's just go there already!; if the end is what you must ineveitably face, why prolong the journey? lol. i totally agree that you shouldn't just look at things from one perspective because growth becomes stunted. and if i'm understanding you correctly, i never said (nor do i think that i have suggested) that the history of astrology was dictated by ONE person. there are countless of sites and books that all suggest how the signs came about in more ways than one. but you can see the similarity in all of them. okay, i think i'm getting all technical again, lol. so i'll stop here.

I was talking about the order and cycle which the signs occur agent; Ptoemly (I think this is the proper spelling) first discovered (if memory serves me) the alignments, and the dates in which these signs occur. I was refering to him as the 'grand man' so to speak as far as astrology goes; regardless, of whom ever discovered it, it certainly dosen't take away from it's intrigue, and mystery.....the fact that it CAN'T be solidified is why I figure so many people become attracted to it in the first place; all of us rushing around to be the one to 'decipher the zodiacal code' or at least I am anyway! lol I have to ask you to forgive that previous comment; I was having a 'lazy day' (My Merc. is in Libra) lol Damn scales! In hind-sight agent.....Virgo and Scorpio DO seem most similar....sibling rivalry much?! lol I came to this 'Conlusion' when I looked inside myself to see what was truly there; I hold myself back too much becuase I think it's the 'honorable' thing to do; I know I'll be ok, if anything should happen, it's other people I worry about; I'm actually overly-confident at times, but I'm usually concerned too much about hurting somebody else becuase I feel like I can conqueor the world!, and if I can do that, than I should be able to help someone else up by supporting them! why does Virgo have to be the sign of service anyway? I think somebody was forgetting a more important thing that comes after leo's ego; the soul? We must take time to understand the inner focus/struggle of the soul coming to emerging from darkness to light; there is more to a person than just their ego; we have souls, and with out them, we'd lack the will to live, and couldn't sustain our life, as there would be no belief in it..... so why was something so big overlooked?

Um VF, I hate to break it to you, but that's precisely the reason WHY the soul should be included; every sign is the focal point of some aspect of our total being in progress; we are more than our soul and that's why pisces is at the end to signify that we are apart of something bigger than even the energy that binds us; our souls that's why it's jupiter ruled; this is to signify that everything is connected in a universal aspect; it's general that way to show 'opposition' to Virgo; we are theoretically supposed to pass through each sign in order to achieve full purpose; virgo is apart of the zodiac that has to do with the formation of life/the human being,

Cancer is the begining the womb, and it's warmth signifies we are feeling and through our subjective feelings, we're able to acknowledge ourselves; Cancer understands it's alive becuase it feels like the mere baby......


Leo is the second one, and signifies that we exist becuase we feel yes, but we wonder, and question ourselves; "to what EXTENT do I exist?" "There must be more to life than feeling alone...." and through the liberation/breaking away from the home evironment (Cancer), we begin a journey to find ourselves through our beliefs, and ambitions, and the expansivness of our own unspoken dreams.....we develop and ego to recieve and manifest a pattern of beliefs and ideas that we take in from the outside world which we are bound to, and make our own perceptions.

Finally, Virgo.....We now know we have primitive selfish urges and drives within us, and we are past just feelings, and our own narcissitic pursuits; we are 'total ego' we are aware of who we are and all that that means when being refered to in the first person. We no longer have to look 'outside' to sustain our fragile self image becuase we are self-assured in Virgo; the ego is now only a window through which to look through, and to take in knowledge/information.....we are now in a period where we are feeling that there is still something we haven't reached yet....something deeper, bigger, more important and more stable than the self-image that we can only keep up through the others.....we search for our soul, the part that is the most truest aspect of the 'self'; through the development of the soul comes complete understanding and true growth, becuase the ego is humbled, and opened more widely than in Leo......

any who, I think Virgo could also be a Canidate for Pluto, and that Scorpio is shared with Aries in Mars. Pluto could defitely explain the depth of the Virgoan Personality....if you look at the Virgoan character in general of course.

I say this becuase in a legend I was told from Agent 006, Virgo is the embodiment of Persephone/Demeter and that Persephone was taken to the underworld and held there. perhaps she adapted her personality from the darkness of the underworld.....
