He stood me up..WTF

So for the first time my boyfriend stood me up. When I called his phone it was off/dead. I got a text at 4:00 am from him saying: Hope your night was good, call me when you wake up..xo

Naturely I'm pissed (there was no I'm sorry in the text) and not ready to call him..Plus I'd hate to say something I don't really mean. And the only reason I'm pissed is he was out all day watching the fight and had plenty of time to call and cancel or just text at least.

So now I'm confused and lost on what the hell I'm supposed to do. I don't feel like he should get off that easy..but at the same time you can't be mad forever. Fuck!

Perhaps, it was just a misunderstanding. Sometimes, people misunderstand each other and if under ordinary circumstances, he wouldn't do this .. then, it would seem unreasonable to just assume that he fucked up in some way .. I would give him the benefit of the doubt, rather than saying, "I don't feel like he should get off that easy", for that suggests that he did something intentional when that might not be the case.

If that's the case, then he wouldn't have texted earlier and he would have just said, "Hope your night was good, call me when you wake up"
