Is it common for Virgos, males specifically, to tell a girl that they love and want to "wife" them but fail to commit?

I have known this virgo for 2 1/2 years and he displayed interest early on but we built a friendship. He told me he was in love with me once in the beginning before I ever established those mutual feelings for him.. he has disappeared a few times, only to come back and say I'm still his babe and another time (which is the most recent) he said he's going to wife me. Mind you, we are long distance and have never met. I try to bring up when we can meet but he seems to avoid discussing details and getting the ball rolling. He is very flirtatious and seemed to befriend a new girl. To me, I believe they can be just friends but I think she is developing feelings bc of his possible mixed signals... so another question is, do you think he really is serious about me? I show him love, give him space, and express interest. I have told him I'm in love with him a few times over our time knowing each other as well. Could he just be scared or...?

Just looking for opinions on this. Your answers are appreciated 🙂

I stopped taking this post seriously when I read the 'have not met' bit.

After two and a half years... Yeah, he must be really scared. Quaking in his boots I'm sure...

It appears as if you were an electronic birthday cake.

Appealing and tempting in the beginning...

But once the candles were blown out.

So was his interest....

....and he went searching for another E-girlfriend.

I hope I'm not being insulting...

But avoid placing too many eggs in one basket for someone you never met before.

Give the internet a break.

Two and a half years is a long time.

Good Luck in your date search.

I know this whole situation is ridiculous. I'm done, not just because of these comments but they did aid my decision. I know I was blinded. Just wanted opinions from people I don't know.
