Mines hypocritical too, when he's being a hypocritical ill sometimes make him aware of it but usually ill just laugh at him and roll my eyes and tell him straight out that he's hypocritical but will always be sure to have a good example and then he usually doesn't have much to say when I catch him out on being hypocritical haha it's funny
Point out his bullshit in a unemotional logical way. otherwise he will run a muck with his double standards.

I've been reading posts on here and thought I should join as I am in love with a wonderful virgo man. We live together (moved in after only 3 months of knowing each other) and it has been great. I am learning about his 'ways' and he is dealing really well with my cancer leo cusp moods and occasional mini 'drama's. There is only one aspect of our relationship that confuses (and sometimes annoys) me and I was hoping I could get a few opinions on why Virgo's (well the ones I know so far) often have quite a a lot of do's and dont's for those around them but then cant stick to this themselves. To elaborate, he will not stand for lying yet I have caught him lying to protect his image/ego and sometimes at the expense of others he cares about. He has a hard time forgiving the actions that come from insecurity in others yet is very insecure himself. He is very capable of criticising and bossing people about but gets really offended if you 'tell him what to do' or offer even constructive criticism. He loves to poke fun and have a good time but you are never aloud to laugh at him even though he is quite happy to do so to you often in front of others. He is direct and will tell you how it is but be damned if you do the same to him. He will get upset and withdraw. The sweetest one though is that he will often give you advice on something only to go and make the mistake he has warned you of - like on holiday last week he gave me a long speech of how i must be careful not to burn my skin only to lie in the sun without any lotion (i couldn't tell him otherwise) and then get totally burnt. That sorta thing basically.
Don't get me wrong I often love this about him as I do get that his mothering and bossing are signs that he worries and cares for me. I just wander if he is aware that he is a hypocrite and is this something that virgo's have or is it just him.
