If they remain 'single' I would take offense. If they have some thing about changing it they at least change it to nothing. Other than that I'd at least like them to say they are in a relationship with me or in a relationship period.
For me I get hit on if I don't change my status and it quite frankly bugs me because that can be avoided if the other person will agree with me.
If you get on facebook a lot it would be very suspicious if you didn't change 'it to in a relationship'.
I was with a guy who had a peeve or something about getting "in a relationship" on fb and we ended up fighting about it to the point where he deleted his facebook. At that point not only did he look crazy he looked suspicious. Who was he trying to hide the relationship status from? I'll never know. Glad that ended tho.
If you've both agreed you're in a relationship then I see no reason to why anyone would stay single. It has warning signs all over it, if you ask me. Can't you just remove the 'relationship status' altogether by not answering at all..... that at least would make sense, after all not all people feel their relationship status is everyone else's business. But lying about it is suspicious!
Hmmmm I agree on both counts, whilst I appreciate that it is no ones business, but to suggest that your single when you are indeed in an agreed relationship is rather confusing to me.
And as a side note, if i was in a relationship i would want to shout it from the rooftops hmmmm...
I don't have a facebook account for numerous reasons but yeah I would be annoyed especially if he's openly flirting, attempting to court/date/woo women in front of my face. IMO if he's not openly saying to the world I'm taken then he's probably not as serious about you but for the most part I wouldn't stress over it but I wouldn't take him seriously either.

Hi guys. I thought this would be a great place to ask for your views on wether people should disclose if they are single or not on their face book accounts? What if you are in a relationship with some one and they still remain single on the site, love to hear some variations on the theme if you have any , cheers.
