Hey Guys,

I've been lurking around these message boards for a while and the discussions are living and informative to say the least... I have a question for anyone willing to answer... though feedback is always appreciated and encouraged...

I just began seeing this Virgo gentleman that is a gentleman in every way, sooo not what I am use to after dating a emotional vampire Capricorn for 6 years... He is everything I'm looking for in a man...actually everything and more....

Just want to know what the potential is like for a Virgo Man and Scorpio Woman... Our birthdays are 9/22/74 (him) and 11/2/79 (me), I'm not sure how he feels about astrology so I haven't asked about his birth time but mine is 4:19 am... Any input would be great... thanks!!!

I'm a Virgo Man married to a Scorpio Woman - celebrated our second wedding anniversary back in October! It's the second marriage for both of us - my first was a Libra, and hers was a Gemini. We're both much better matched the second time around!

Your VirGuy shares my birthday (SEP 22nd), so he's a Libra Cusp like me. I'm about 83.275% Virgo, and if I hadn't had a Virgo Dad, that percentage would probably be lower.

f_s: Find out his history and patterns with women. I would highly suggest you stay critical before you get all enchanted and your head spinning in no time.

Good advice. We're about the hardest guys to date you're ever gonna meet. My Scorp almost gave up on me before we ever got started dating. Guard your heart. But... we're super-duper quadruple cautious (some gals read that as SHY, but that's often not the case - as they find out later if they're lucky!), so if we can't read you, and know if you're interested, then we may never make a move -- and you know how secretive you Scorps are!

In short: This is a tough courtship to get started.

But, if you open up to each other (and it has to be mutual!), there's this almost immediate, deep, unspoken understanding between these two Signs. Some folks attribute it to the fact that one sign was split back in the past to create Scorpio & Virgo. Who knows? But I do know in my case that I finally found a woman who truly gets me, and I get her - sometimes four times in one day! (sorry, couldn't resist!).

Ever heard the song by Simon and Garfunkel - I am a Rock, I am an Island? That should be our anthem! My Virgo Dad used to say that my Leo Mom had him by the short hairs. We actually resent our love for you! And yet, once we do fall, we are totally devoted to you. My Dad's universe revolved around Mom. But, catching us is the hard part! Imagine storming a castle - with solid rock walls 20 feet thick - that would be child's play to winning over a grown VirGuy!

I'm overwhelmed with your responses and thank you for all of your input... I am definitely guarded with this Virgo so I will take Fumugli and Dy's advice and take my time... I just got out of a 6 years relationship so I'm quite cautious... Admittingly I'm smitten and he seems to be as well but I guess after I got my heart body slammed by a Cappy I'm apprehensive about entering another relationship...

He has mentioned my ability to be enigmatic, yet he has the same ability?!! Surprisingly we are quite open and upfront with eachother so far, but its still fresh and wet behind the ears so who knows... My previous relationship taught me never to look at just the surface to understand what the other persons motivations might be... I'm trying to establish a friendship before anything else, so I don't foresee an immediate courtship, and I'm ok if it doesn't move past a friendship at this point in time...

I'm trying my best not to invest too much of my emotions into this until I'm absolutely positive where this may lead, again as a precaution for my heart... So many of my friends comment on my steely resolve, seeming as if nothing really bothers me while on the inside my mind is running a million miles a minute and surprising the Virgo understands this because his mind tends to operate similarly... I say similarly because well... I'm more emotional in my thinking, he more logical, yet we reach the same conclusions from differing paths...

Though he's a cusp, he DEFINITELY is more Virgo than Libra... I've dated two Libras in the past and he is unlike either one... But then again, I am very much a Scorp but have many Libra like tendencies, an Aries Moon doesn't help either, I can be quite difficult to get along with and it takes a really long to get to know me, again the Scorpio caution, so I understand the Virgo's tendency towards guarding his emotions... I think it kills him that I can read his emotions even when he doesn't lend any hint to them, I've surprised him a couple of times by my ability to "read" him... Disarming to say the least...

I can't say that all Virgos feel the same way that my Dad & I do, but I've also noticed this with some other Earth Guys as well: We don't like giving up our self-contained status, our stand on our own two feet, our independence - whatever you want to call it - that results from falling in love. ME becomes US. We realize this fact, and that is very unsettling. Not because we're selfish, but because we are going to take the relationship seriously, and know that things are going to be different - and most Earth Signs resist change in one or more parts of their lives...

Most astrologers say that Virgo Men are more likely to marry late - if at all - and I think this is one of the reasons. My Dad waited until his early 30's to marry the first time. All the other VirGuys I know married in their 20's -- but we're all Southerners, and Dad's a Yankee. Maybe regional culture trumps astrology??

Yea Dy, I noticed that too about earth sign men... Their independence is extremely important to them... then a Scorpy girl comes along and turns everything they worked to establish on its head... : / Feelings mutual though, Scorps love their independence and will defend it... We'll fall on our own sword rather than be captured by the chaos called love, its a threat to our well-being and when someone comes along and disturbs that, it can get.. messy.... LOL

I'm going to chime with another HUGE thumbs up for a Virgo Scorp match. While I'm not with this beautiful scorp anymore, her and I still have a very strong bond for each other. To the point where she fell seriously ill for a couple of weeks and felt more comforted by my presence and actions than her current boyfriends. In short, if the pairing is good, its going to be AMAZING for you.

Hey guys, thanks again for all your replies... I really appreciate your feedback, but i've decided to back off from this relationship... I've been doing alot of introspective thinking and came to the realization that I'm not ready for a relationship right now, neither is he... Rather than be strung along, I decided that I need some me time for a while... Maybe once he's straighten out his situation we might be able to come back and give it a try but I'm not holding out hope right now nor would I want for him to do the same... But thanks again for your input, it has really been helpful in trying to understand a Virgo man...

Actually I am agreeing with you on this. I don't know who the hell said that Virgos are good with water signs??_!

I had very good relations with the gems/aqua/ and generally the fire signs..! Still have!

But what I??ve said about (me time) is still on, me time change the personality over the time and it no good at all.

The older you get, will be more difficult you get rid of the consequences of the (me time).

Possibly you are right, but it is too late for me to try the water signs again, let the younger Virgos run the coliseum??_!

My problem with scorps and still is their jealousy and ownership when I am alone with this I??ll just ignoring it, when I am not, then I need some more explanations (logically and rationally).

fumilgli... thanks for the advise and concern, as well as Q and shaks... The alone time thing is a must for the moment, but I'm not the type of person to allow my insecurity to enable me not to have a close relationship again... Alone time doesn't mean alone forever... I adapt well to other people in my life and have never been one that is afraid of love or being love... actually i think its kind of sad when you allow extended self imposed isolation to destroy the possibility of being loved and loving in return...

From my experience, jealousy and ownership are issues that unevolved scorpios indulge in, as Scorps mature and move past their "gray lizard" stage, jealousy and control issues are few and far between, when you involve yourself with these scorp types its never good... Q, maybe it wasn't the right timing for you and as Fumigli mentioned, planet placement has much to do with the types of signs you attract... If you have alot of air and fire placements in your chart, you tend to attract air and fire sign women... For example, when I was younger, I attracted many air sign men because, however as I got older and evolved from my gray lizard stage I attracted more grounded earth sign men, this may be in part because I have a balanced chart between air/earth/water/fire placements in my chart... So timing and chart placement play a big role in your attractions and so forth...

Q, I understand completely your reserve towards relationships.. truly i do, however allowing a heartbreak from 25 years to still effect you is quite... sad... You've allowed this person to dictate your happiness even now... Don't allow resentment for what happened in the past determine your potential for happiness today, you deserve someone to love you completely, but you have to give someone that opportunity before you dismiss it all together...

Fumingli... I apologize since this is the first time I've correctly spelled your name... LOL.. Thank you for your compliments, it does mean alot when a person understands where your coming from... I understand how the healing process can be hurtful but as my mom has said to me many times, time heals all... Having a healthy perspective on the concept of "me time" does alter your perspective on relationships with yourself and others, it has allowed me the opportunity to be in tune with my own needs and made me aware of my limitations...

Though I am still young (29) I've always had a certain emotional maturity I find many people tend to lack... It's given me a healthy view of people's motivations and I've learned how not to take their actions personally... It reminds me of what my Grandmother always told me, if you love, love with your whole heart, if you hate, forgive with your whole heart; that way there are no regrets...
