Virgo guy disappearing?

I'm an aries-taurus cusp and i've fell for a virgo. As an aries, i usually fall in and out fast but this virgo is driving me crazy!

2 months ago, i met him online and he show interest almost immediately. I don't usually trust people but strangely he just manage to make me like him.
He was working in my country for long term (i'm from europe, he is from america)
Beginning he would text me all day long and he was just being so interested in me. So one day he said he was addicted to me and it was a bad thing.
Immediately the next day he starting going cold and was "busy" with work. A few days later, he disappeared. Like totally fell off the face of earth, he wasn't online at all and i tried messaging him but i know he didn't saw it. I was puzzled and thought fondly of him but eventually i moved on...

Until one fine day (a week ago), he texted me out of the blue and told me he went back to his country because his dad died... He couldn't handle himself so he disappeared but he missed me all these while. He was back to being loving, or perhaps even more loving. He keep apologizing for disappearing on me. We continued talking and had plans to meet up again when he is back to europe. He even told me he loved me twice (once during drunk though..) It seems alittle too fast i guess. So the same cycle happens, he was super loving and then suddenly became cold and then POOF! Gone once again. We didn't quarrel or anything and he even confessed his love for me the last time we talked. I'm left confused and i googled that virgos are always disappearing. Is this true or am i getting played? It's been almost a week and he is totally not online...

WOW...My moon (Emotions) is in Virgo and Sun in Libra and boy, I've been told so many times that I do/did this. I think I'm flighty like that on so many levels, but it's never intentional. Even if we disappear for a minute, we'll return. We're never gone for too long if it's someone that we really like or care about. What's so funny is that I my history involves consistently dating both both Taurus and Aries, and especially Taurus and this was a re-occurring theme they both said I would do. I never really saw it that way, but after reading the threads on this site and trying to learn more about Astrology and how it pertains to our personality and characteristic, I had to face some real truths about myself.

I think he likes you, but you may not be a priority with him right now, so he's trying to decide his next move. I don't think he's playing you though. I know for me, I would never tell a person that I liked them in that way if I didn't mean it and that applies to both my Sun (Libra) & Moon (Emotions) side. Confused we can be, but when we really like a person, it's usually genuine. And yes, we're definitely work-a-holics and that can get in the way of a relationship a lot of times.

It's been a week and still no trace of him at all. It's just weird, i don't even know if he is dead or alive.. I agree with VirgoFlirt, if someone really love you, they wouldn't disappear or they would had told you what was wrong (if he had issues).

kalin, It's true how virgos are very hard to date. My friend was dating a virgo, he was so consistent and was like the best boyfriend ever. But after he got her to love him, he became so different, nitpicking at all her flaws and eventually he just disappear too.... weird huh

Lib4Life, how long do you usually disappear and do you totally forget about them when you're gone? As an aries/taurus, we really hate being ignored and this drives us nuts. But my virgo had often say i drive him nuts but that is why he likes me. I've read that taurus and virgo is compatible but aries isn't. But i do like my the mixed traits of taurus and aries! I understand that perhaps i wasn't his priority but wouldn't it be nice to let me know what's up? :/ Aries can be so straightforward and want things fast... and yes, the workaholic part, so true!
