across the Way

i gaurd my heart and soul
containing, supporting, holding
as the earth will cradle the sea
shifting and compliant these divine to be

my heart and soul long for me
for security, for peace, for completion
as the waves long for the shore
always reaching... more, again once more.

i look towards my heart and soul
and see inbetween this uncharted section,
this missing epic, journey, this odyssey
as the Mountain Peak sees a far reflection
in the arresting resting Lake across the Way

and crossing that Way
i, my heart and soul
will merge as one in a day to come
the unknown will be born and will finally succumb
as life bursts forth from fertile soil
beautiful wild and beautiful loyal

then finally, i can say Eternity
for this unknown was always there
for this unknown will always be.
