So I’m confused? Are you giving him space or is he avoiding you— He has both in his sentence which is contradictory

Yeah, it's confusing and slightly incoherent. Is it 'you haven't been talking to me so just in case you were wondering, thanks for ignoring me because I needed it (to save face lol)? Either way, it's not a good sign. The old 'I've got too much going on' is always a copout. ..especially with a Cap. We're masters of time management and we can always make time for people.

This is exactly how I took it as well. Doesn’t seem like a good thing since he is noticing the distance and lack of communication.

Here is some back story info. We were together last tuesday and the next day he randomly texted me that he had food poison or stomach virus. I reply but he didn't answer so i called him. He denied the call and said he couldn't talk. Didn't hear back from, it is normal for us not to talk everyday, so i didn't follow up until Saturday. Said something like “since you never got back to me i hope youre feeling better”. He responded but i didn't reply to his text since it sounded like he didn't want to talk. So we are back to him texting me yesterday the statement.

If you ask me, the most important thing is that he doesn't indicate about whether he's reaching you back in the future after things are resolved so I'll take it as a no.

I would say, "Okay, no problem. I hope things will get better for you. Take care."

That's all and proceed to look around.

Am very use to him pushing me away or disappearing when he is stressing, typical cappy behavior but the only difference this time is that he let me know in advance, typically he would just disappear and not tell me anything until I messaged him.

Without any other previous context my translation is: something has gone down in my life, give me a chance to handle it and I'll get back to you. I understand why you would think I'm ghosting you, and don't blame you.

Pretty much this.

We'll just claim to be busy and ghost often if we're too taken up in something to blow someone off.

If we care, we've probably spent time overthinking how we're probably alienating you and risking losing you before sending a message similar to the one you received.

Am hoping for the 2nd part... he never communicated before ghosting in the past. He would just push me away and come back 2-3 weeks later. It was very surprising that he gave me a heads up this time.

I think it signals change, and that he’s thinking of you and not wanting you to go away ( and letting you know). Based on this explanation of yours anyway. Caps are confusing since they keep so much in their head.

That means it's better than the prev ones so take it as it is. You should give him some space to resolve things.

Mirroring each other but basically what I said. I'm curious to see who breaks the sheet of ice first.

I always wait for him to come back first. I do respect his space and have gone through this with him many times so am a veteran to this situation. Just very surprise by him giving me advance notice, never dis that before. My cancer sun wants to know his problems to support him but my gemini moon is like whatever do you boo until he comes back.
