I don't see how Virgo and Scorpio men are such good friends.

Given that Virgos are nurturing, righteous, and try to be people with morals and Scorpios are all about pulling a fast one on someone, getting even, and gaining power over people.

Are Virgos like just fake nice perhaps?

Virgos are fake nice but underneath they harbour feelings of superiority and entitlement

Son and his dad are Virgo dom/Virgo sun+mercury

They are both highly critical of others, driven and perfectionists to the extreme

Son is Scorpio sun and has lots in common with his Virgo dad .... they’re good friends.

People mistake common courtesy for being nice. Being nice is an air sign thing.

Scorpios are like hidden person they show something else but because of their mutual understanding they both are good friends.
