I did this experiment a long time ago myself to understand if Astrology could indicate those personalities more prone to suicidal ideation to execution. I actually did find a link. I used to work for a transit company where I did come across fatalities on train tracks that were deemed suicide or people who attempted to kill themselves. My eyes used to fall on their bday.
Itâs people with a lot of Virgo, Pisces and Cancer in their personal planets. I wasnât surprised one bit because these signs are inherently melancholic, overthinkers, overly critical of self which leads depression.
Iâm not surprised that I didnât find Libra (epicurean), Gemini (logical), Aqua (logical), Sag, Taurus (epicurean) in their charts because these are the happy signs and they find reasons to be happy.
Itâs people with a lot of Virgo, Pisces and Cancer in their personal planets. I wasnât surprised one bit because these signs are inherently melancholic, overthinkers, overly critical of self which leads depression.

He talked about how the jumpers had a choice between staying in a burning building or jumping to their own death to escape the agony of the burning building.

I understand that being suicidal is something much bigger than that. I was simply writing about my findings and that I saw a pattern. My ex used to talk about killing himself and in retrospect I found his placements intriguing.
Everyone has their own reasons for it (non depressed) and clinically depressed suicides are all together is a different beast, which Iâm not touching on because Iâm not a psychiatrist.

read something similar by david foster wallace (who also took his own life) how the terror of jumping doesn't differ from a suicidal to any other person, only that whatever they're dealing with is a much greater pain than the act of killing themselves. but i bet the self-criticism doesn't help any.

Iâm surprised at Sagittarius, Taurus and Leo. Not surprised at Libra. Iâve met too many emo/depressed ones. I kind of donât get it as theyâre air signs. Cliche wise expected mostly water signs.

Yes!!!! This is it.. It was years ago that I read it, I think it was around the time that Anthony Bourdain committed suicide and I came across this article about suicide and it had this as an excerpt. It was so poignant that it changed my perspective immediately.
I just googled that guys name and see that he committed suicide himself in 2008 which would have been before I read the article. I think an excerpt from his book was in the article written from the psychologist that was writing about Anthony Bourdains suicide in 2018.

Sorry to hear that. Mine was 25 years old when he did it. One of the most painful periods of my life.
I've been to a friends funeral after he hung himself when we were all working together overseas, it was the end of our time there. Open casket, they didn't put make up on him or any of that shit we do here in the west, they left a big open stitched up autopsy scar showing for us to see. And the back around his eyes and the burst veins in his face and the look on his face looked like he was still in there and it was hell for him, that's the closest thing I've seen to hell on earth. I'm pretty angry at him still, for how long it messed me up and probably others, and because he did it there where it could effect all of us and we would have to go to his funeral, he had closer friends living in a flat with him too and I wonder how they are. And his parents were on the other side of the world from him when it happened, he didn't even want to go home to do it. Maybe he had big problems at home that he didn't want to go back to. He was 18 or 19 so I'm angry at him for not giving himself the opportunity to grow up and get through whatever he was dealing with.

I did this experiment a long time ago myself to understand if Astrology could indicate those personalities more prone to suicidal ideation to execution. I actually did find a link. I used to work for a transit company where I did come across fatalities on train tracks that were deemed suicide or people who attempted to kill themselves. My eyes used to fall on their bday.
Itâs people with a lot of Virgo, Pisces and Cancer in their personal planets. I wasnât surprised one bit because these signs are inherently melancholic, overthinkers, overly critical of self which leads depression.
Iâm not surprised that I didnât find Libra (epicurean), Gemini (logical), Aqua (logical), Sag, Taurus (epicurean) in their charts because these are the happy signs and they find reasons to be happy.
