Cancer and Aquarius
My BFF dated an aqua. Not for long though. They got along great, still friends. But she wanted more, pretended she didn't, said she didn't, but she did. He definitely didn't and ended up dating other people when she was trying to be exclusive. That didn't work out for them.
But, if you're not a typical cancer, I'd say give it a try. What have you got to lose?

Im dating a cancer man..,, and hes way more emotional than me. Let me re phrase that.....hes more emotional about things he cares about versus me. Goodness Im not doing well here. Lets just say hes emotional and so am I. We overall mesh very well and have a great relationship. I love him the way that he is and hes pretty much got me pegged too. We dont try to change one another so I think thats why we work with each other.
He does retreat when he gets overwhelemed. Recently we had a ...how you say...meltdown over something we are experiencing. He says I was pushing him emotinally...I call it making him deal with the situation at hand. Now we differ greatly here. I face challenges head on. He seems to need to retreat and regroup and then face the situation.

Been burned by an Aqua in your past? As a Aqua man, I can tell you I don't push people away or do anything to test them. I'm considerate of their feelings and accommodate my S.O.'s needs. If you're speaking from personal experience, did you ever check your synastry or composites with these other Aquas to see where the problem was?

Jupiter Aqua to her/his Aqua Sun. Now, if they have some Water, even some Earth, even stelliums in either one, it is very good. Having Virgo is good, especially if they have opposite attracts.

I think it depends on how much of a Cancer you are .. or really just how emotional or needy you can be.
I can be emotional in a way but I have a good way of controlling that and giving people space and I won't hold it against them. I'm a Cancer sun with a scorpio moon so even though I feel intensely, I also keep myself detached and somewhat aloof..
I'm dating an Aquarius right now and so far it has been a little over 5 months and we haven't had a single problem or argument at all. I've never dated another aqua before him though, so I'm sure it depends on the traits of both of you..

Hey I have always said this sign is probably the most difficult for me and naturally for most Aquarians because of what appears to be a lack of control when it comes their emotions...

To me it was just stupid but we still hung out and I had patience because every time he would get upset at something I would do HE WOULD ALWAYS ASK ME WHAT I MEANT BY WHAT I DID, OR WHAT I SAID..... I think that is important because I notice a lot of cancers will just cut you off because they think they know ~_~
Short story he listened to my explanations and over time noticed that I never treated him differently and now I can pretty much be myself cause he knows how I am man....
So, I think if you got patience and maturity to ask why the Aqaurian did this or said that and LISTEN. And the Aquarian has the patience with you to explain then eventually you will get a long just fine. true, I believe there needs to be good communication on both sides for it to work.

On a side note, seeing Rene Russo is an aquarian: The character she played in the movie The Thomas Crown Affair, with Pierce Brosnan.. it hit me that she acted like a very typical aqua woman in that film. Anyone else that can relate?

You have to look at all of your synastry aspects, though.
She (Cancer) was very suspicious, did not like anyone he made friends with (so...everyone), did NOT allow him any sort of mental or physical freedom (she hated his humor and regularly told him to "grow up"), going out with friends was a big NO and if he did there were major tongue lashings, she felt very emotionally insecure all the time, and even though he wasn't allowed to go out and have fun she was...on a very regular basis.
He (Aquarius) is very outgoing, loves to laugh, and meet new people. He, by no means, is perfect (he cheated on her when the relationship got really sour, she also cheated). The guy waited on her and catered to her every whim. You could see the light of his personality instantly fade out in his eyes when she would show up, it's like his whole body would go slack and depression would set in. It'd almost be like he was saying "I can't play anymore guys, Mom's here...".
hmmm lol I sound like the Cancer woman. It really depends on their LIFE style . And their "connection." Anyway that guy sounds like a terrible possible bf for ANY girl. Like he can't "grow up." Omg...did I just say that?
