He is just a type that likes to be the dominant one and free of choices... I just wanted to surprise him to make him feel happier and love, but I dont want the visit to be illogical if he does not want me there because he has plans or some sort.

Is there a reason you wanted to visit him by surprise? Have you been suspicious? Have you had a hard time getting him to visit? I don't see how future plans to move impact his current ability to receive visitors, but whatever. How long have you been dating? How far apart do you live? Do you know about his friends and family? I'm sorry that you had that thought. He did try to visit me once but the storm in his area was heavily damaging, so he planned to stay. I want to surprise him because he has been feeling depressed lately about his family and work... Like me, we both like to ignore the toxicity relationships... He lives in Canada and I have been living in California.
