Does this Aqua man like me or just being a good friend?

* January 2026: I met him at a New Year's Eve party through mutual friends. We talked for hours about investments and finances. There was clear chemistry.

* Early February: He hosted a housewarming party. He found me on Instagram + sent me a DM specifically asking me to come to his housewarming. I don't use Instagram much. I missed the party. When I finally saw his message days later, I apologized for missing it. He replied casually: "all good all good."

* That was the extent of our contact for months.

* Mid-May: We saw each other at a mutual friend's birthday party. Something shifted. After both trying to date other people, we picked up where we left off. His two-month relationship had ended. My pursuit of the Taurus man hadn't worked out. We were both back on the market.

* Late-May: I invite him to my birthday brunch we have good convo he was on crutches (foot injury) and still came.

* June: He hosted a watch party (I was invited but couldn't go). He bought pizza for everyone and later asked them to venmo for the pizza in the group chat.

* NY get together: We talked about our dating history he asked me questions. When it was time to go home I realized it was late. He opened the Uber app, the ride was $ 100. He paid the full amount without asking me for reimbursement (but he had charged other friends for pizza earlier). He told me to text him when I got home

* Saturday Watch Party: The conversation ranged from dating apps, raising kids [future, neither of us have kids], exes, professional boundaries, to values. The Knicks won -> Everyone went outside to celebrate -> Large, chaotic crowd -> I asked him to stay close to me and held his hand. We walked together, and I felt safe with him in the crowd

* 1 of our mutual friends texted him saying we "looked like a thing" at the watch party. Aqua man responded: "LOL"

* I texted him: "thanks for staying close with me during that crowd after the knicks game. i was lowkey scared of getting lost in that mob". He didn't message back. He just liked it.

* Currently, he is out of town due to work. Is he interested in me, or am I reading too much into this?
