I have decided to teach my chinese skillz to the people of this forum. Anyone who has any question about chinese characters can ask me on this thread.

Because Lady M is one of the people who knows about the language, I have decided to make this an aqua forum post

On the by note:

Yahoo chinese english dictionary is a good resource to learn chinese, it is aso a very good translation

I've got Rosetta stone now (altho I've only used in once since). Its not very good at teaching characters along with pinyin and then English translation.

I want to continue learning so I don't forget the little I remember...I want to go back sooo bad though, the constant interaction helps me learn quicker.

Thanks for the link.

don't worry, you can type BS and practice online. I can understand. πŸ™‚

Leatrning how to pronounce characters (without pinyin) and recognize them is very hard.

β€”_??_ (ni3 shuo1 de5 hen3 hao3)
meaning you speak very well.

"ni tu tao hao wo."

β€”β€”β€”??_ (zhe4 ge5 wo3 bu4 tai4 ming2 bai2)
Meaning I do not understand this sentence.

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”(ke3 bu4 ke3 yi3 jie3 shi4 yi1 xia4)

yea like that. πŸ™‚
its actually better if you know the characters rather than the pronounciation. the pronounciation only helps you speak the word.

like

??=death

Even so, then Hindi is the common togue. It is unwise to not learn it.

Like I am born in hong kong, which speaks cantonese, but I have to learn mandarin, which is what the majority of people are speaking.
