How does your rising sign affect you?

Mine makes me seek security and stability, makes me nostalgic and takes me awhile to move on from the past, makes me emotional, and careful when approaching new acquaintances. I have times when I'm a social aqua butterfly, and times when I want to be left alone and stick with my close friends. My relationships are even more complicated, I'm screaming emotions on the inside and always wonder why it never gets across to the person I'm dating...and then I remember , oh yeah...I'm a stoic crazy person.

LOL. I tend to agree with you! My rising is Aqua and I actually had no idea, until much later in my life when I finally put two and two together.
I feel like a crazy person sometimes when my emotions are running wild (through in my sun sign of Sag) and it is a big mess!
Then, on the other hand I also like to be alone. For instance, this week. No friends, just my fam near me and that is all.

I forgot to add my rising is in Cancer.

You need your accurate birth time to find out your rising sign.

You have to know the time of birth. If that's put in when you pull your natal chart, then it will be referred to as Ascendent. That would be your rising sign.

I'm a cap with a scorpio rising. The scorp rising makes the cap (sun, moon and mercury...oh my!) a little more hot blooded, I think. I also feel I'm able to read past people's defense mechanisms.

Goodness! Do you sometimes feel more like a scorpio than a cap? I always feel for people with Earth or Air signs w/ watery risings...it's such a Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde type of feeling.

The rising sign is the sign that was *rising* on the eastern horizon at the time of our birth.

Especially romantically. My venus is also scorpio. There is a never ending internal battle - do it/go for it VS don't take the risk/protect your heart....Makes me feel wishy washy. Scorp says "what have you got to lose" - Cap says "everything".

I'm a Scorpio Sun with a Aquarius Asc and pretty much everything else is in Cap.
I'm not as fearless as Scorpio,i'm more on the "Safety First" but once i'm comfortable with someone i do feel the Aquarius come out..crazy,silly,spontaneous,a little aloof..i'm very open minded and calm, not really jealous but when i'm mad i do feel like a scorpio.

I dont know what time I was born and have no way of finding out..do you think theres a way to -guess- based on personality etc? Im so curious

Mmm..not really. I mean, your rising sign is the mask you wear when you first meet people and how you cope w/ daily issues. I guess you can guess yourself personally. But when I look at others, I usually can't guess their rising as well as I can their moon or venus cause I don't know what's going on with them internally.

Oh! That makes sense. Well I definitely do mask my cancer wimpy stuff with much more bold, and aggressive behavior. Like to appear very independent and not too emotional, but warm and friendly. If you met me you might imagine I was full leo, or even Aquarius. On the inside is much more messy, emotional, clingy, sometimes very angry, focused on past events, often lost in patterns of behavior, can get very angry but do not wish to show that to people..I can be extremely compassionate for others but do enjoy the sort of games described as being played by aquarius. I Also NEED to be alone, and recharge after time with a person..

I'm attracted most to scoripos, leos and aquas!

Haha I chuckled to myself, as I normally don't get along with Leo Suns because of their pride. But that's crazy, doesn't help with the stubbornness of an Aquarius.

Mine is Gemini. It makes me curious about almost everything and I enjoy learning anything new. I could be a professional student! It also employs my ability to be easily distracted at times, so when it seems like I am ignoring others, I am really just trying to remain focused on the task at hand. 🙂

Starlover, im aries too and we wanted it yesterday but we are telling u now so u better understand the urgency, lol. Cant stand late service or late anything or slow anything- i got places to go, ppl to see, so make whatever u r making super fast.

Completely on the same boat. I can't stand Leos, they're amusing to me for 10 seconds until I realize how pompous they really are. And I'm not talking about one or two Leos, I'm talking about them as a whole. In fact, I can talk to someone and know they're a Leo within 5 minutes of conversation. And Virgos are too standoffish for me, I'd love to get along with them because I know they make great friends, but it just never works out. They're too calculated, I always feel judged. Virgo risings...forget about it.

Rising Virgo here.

Very clean, tidy, organised (matching stationary items make my heart flutter), with really nice handwriting??_so I've been told. My home is immaculate, you could eat off my floor, no 10 second rule applies and your bum would slide of my toilet seat thanks to my OCD. I'm generally a little fusspot about everything.

Everything has to be good in my world otherwise I simply can't function. My washing machine broke down a few days ago and I've been having a mini spaz about it...things like this get my rising stressed out! I analyse EVERYTHING??_.it does get tiring after a while.

I pack things away so good I can't find anything. I remember I once brought like 20 toilet rolls (never can have too many loo rolls!) and I put them in a black bag??_ended up throwing them out few days later, thinking it was rubbish.

I'm particular about everything; I have to have a feather and duck duvet cover and 6 pillows on my bed and nothing can be on the floor or in the sink when going to bed. But like I say I think I have OCD so...you know. I wouldn't have it any other way though. What I do accomplish I do it really well so it helps my sag sun.

Overall I feel like I'm quite normal LOL 😉

Aqua Sun virgo Rising......

I analyze everything to death. When I meet new people I study them, watch them, etc before ill even conversate with them. I tend to use my instincts alot. I am very very picky as to who I let into my inner world. My friends recently accussed me of having too many conspiracy theories.

My moon is in leo not my rising but i swear i have this same problem. i wonder which is worst leo moon or leo rising lol

Aw shucks, I thought I was more mysterious than that haha.

leo sun/aqua rising. I think it makes me move at the speed of light emotionally and then i have the strongest brake button which can make me shut it all down in an instant. Obama is leo/aqua too.
