Tried to dump Aqua man, NOW he wants to talk—

I've been seeing my aqua man romantically for about three months, although we've been friends for four years. He lives in San Diego and I live in Orlando, but for his work we ended spending almost all of October together. We hadn't seen each other in three years when we first linked up again in that way, and the chemistry/connection was instant (I'm Libra sun, Aqua moon). He did the typical aqua charm thing and made me melt. Said how lucky he was to be with me, how gorgeous/brilliant/amazing I was, blah blah blah. The sex was mind-blowing, and hanging out was easy.

Then he left for home and the distancing began. It was almost as if none of that ever happened. He pursued me very persistently for those entire THREE YEARS, and after he got what he wanted, it's like I'm not the shiniest object in the room anymore. I tried to be very patient, knowing that aquas need lots of space. But after three weeks of only a handful of texts (many of them condescending) and being deliberately ignored, yesterday I sent him an email (so as to be less emotional and more impersonal) to, in a nutshell, tell him I had lost interest and patience. I also told him I won't be taken for granted and I won't be ignored, and I'm lamenting what could have been, especially after he pursued me for so long and just seemingly gave up.

I thought I'd never hear from him again. Well, he called me about ten minutes after I sent the email (yesterday morning). It went to voicemail because I'm on a trip and didn't get cell service (or the voicemail) until yesterday afternoon. He said to call him back because he wanted to talk to me (not angry...more anxious). I have no idea what he's going to say and I'm REALLY nervous. Given aqua tendencies to do this sort of thing, what are the chances that he's giving me my walking papers or begging me not to leave him??

He will always do this to you....when someone shows you who they are the first time believe them...

The logistics of a long distance relationship really doesn't pan out well in the long run. I'd just forget about him in a romantic way, but maintain a friendship.
