So my boyfriend and I met two summers ago on OKC. We started out as a hookup transforming into friends with benefits and we've always been very comfortable with each other. Literally on our second date, he told me to pull his finger. It never bothered me, being that I'm a nurse and just don't care. So recently I was tired of feeling like our relationship was just sex, I nagged him for no valid reason, almost pushing him away, but he ended up taking me out to dinner and confronting me on a lot of the accusations I brought up. It ended with me explaining to him that my heart loves him but my mind wants to self-sabotage, due to my baggage and my astronomy. He stated that he felt the same way. I don't know if us being the same in that aspect is a good thing, but ever since then the sweetest crap has been flying out of his mouth. I sort of feel I can devout myself without getting hurt. Is self-sabotaging good relationships a common trait amongst Aquarius? Is there any successful relationships between a Virgo woman and an Aquarius man?

Overall I like dating Aquarius, I attract a lot of them. My ex was a Capricorn and that was horrendous. I enjoy that my current boyfriend is independent, capable of taking care of himself. Sometimes I wish we could have more heart to heart moments.

I'm a Virgo Sun/ Pisces Moon and my guy is a Aqua Sun/ Virgo Moon. I wouldn't say he/ we sabotage our relationship. The feelings are all there but communication/ vocalization can be difficult sometimes. He is very aloof, which I'm not used to (people normally overshare with me so I get to be aloof and solve problems/ offer comfort etc.)

Our heart to heart moments are unique and not sappy.

He's many more dominant, masculine and intense than I expected from an Air Sign.
It's also way more "work" than I've ever done in a relationship.

But is tons of fun and incredibly sexy. Enjoy it for what it is, not what you think/ thought a relationship would be.

I'm in a Virgo/Aqua relationship and communication is definitely something that we have to work at sometimes. I'm usually more vocal with the way I feel and he's usually quiet. But sometimes, he'll surprise me with the sweetest things. I think if you find that he's willing to stay and make it work regardless of your fights and you can see him making the effort to communicate no matter how hard it is for him, then that's a good thing.

Sometimes we Virgos have expectations that they should communicate in a certain way or that they should reciprocate our efforts according to our expectations. We tend to forget that they have their own ways of communicating and reaching out.

I wish one of my sibling had this understanding. She still only complains unfortunately.

I don't think he meant self sabotage the way you expressed it from yourself. He's more worried about saying the wrong thing or not communicating how much he cares in a meaningful manner that translate well to you.
