If you are unsatisfied, what is it that you want out of life?

what makes you content and what are you thankful for?



I'm very happy with life, I don't know if its a good thing or not lol I don't know if I should be upset with my complacency, I've always done my own thing and gone at my own pace.

I've had to attend many of my family dinner parties from a young age and the conversation would always turn to me and my mum and her friends would ask me what I'm gonna do with my life and compare me to their other children.....I've also had many conversations with my dad and he always seems upset that I'm not rolling around in riches and to be honest I've never cared to be what others wanted me to be, the only thing I ever wanted when i was at my family dinner parties was to have a good time and be happy not have drunk adults make me feel like shit and make me cry....Now that I'm an adult I'm the happiest I've ever been....Do you know what I'm grateful for?.....sleeping in lol it makes me so happy, theres nothing more luxurious than sleeping in....I also feel content volunteering and doing community theatre, I meet so many different people at my work from different walks of life and although I'm not religious we sit and pray before work and I love that brief moment of practicing spirituality and showing gratitude....In theatre I love singing, dancing, acting live on stage 5 times a week for free, my brother who is in the entertainment industry looks down on me and thinks I'm crazy that I do it all for free but I'm more than happy to because its my passion.....Hes a drag queen who lipsyncs a song and gets paid $ 250 for doing it lol I think its funny how serious he takes himself, hes never thankful for anything always calls me to complain about his bitch friend and says he can't find a man who will love him out of drag....eveyrthing has its ups and downs such is life and I love it.

* I am content with living in a safe (and beautiful) environment, to live in a beautiful and mystical country/ i am happy to have a family that love each other and who are there for each other. I am thankful for food on my table, a roof over my head, freedom to be who i am, work that i love, friends who are precious (and interesting), but the thing i am most grateful for is being able to spend time with just myself and find contentment in that. Also for good health and lots of laughter in my life.

This contentment and happiness has come to me more so since i gave birth to our son xx I now wish for nothing more in my life

I am truly blessed and grateful

i was just thinking about how people change their love/desires for living because they marry someone who didnt want that type of living. For example, i had a friend who loves the ocean and owned/bought his own boat house and of course he lives with his parents back then, but he fully desired to live near or on the ocean:



then the last i heard he was selling his boat because his new wife wanted him to sell it. due to her wanting a house on land. but i knew his deepest desire was his boathouse. It was never to adjust to having his children, there were no children in their Union.

so i guess there are Always sacrifices for desires/wants when you partner with different types of people.

Really interesting question Lisa..... Where do I even start!!!

I am slowly working towards my happiness by slowly tuning into myself in order to better understand who am I, what I want and more importantly to accept myself as I am. It has been a difficult journey as many have not accepted my sexuality, ideas, honesty and my tastes which have always been quite odd. I am extremely content with the fact that I have intelligence, which I can use and work on. Despite having a broken family I have learnt to work without the reassurance and aid of others although it has been difficult at times and still is. It would be a lie to deny this very fact. I have also come to realise that the reason others did not accept me was because I did not accept myself.

I am satisfied with the person I have become, but not necessarily with my life (at least not wholly anyway...). I am still constrained by rules and regulations. Once I leave my home I can strive for full independence and finally be released of all burdens. I can be the person I have become without fear of punishment. I could travel, become a professional Skydiver and pursue my dream career- Astronomy. Once I find a way to manage my professional and personal life only then would I be happy. When I meet that person that makes me 'click' only then will I truly be satisfied. My friends and many encounters that I have had with strangers truly fill my world. Learning from others and meeting new people keep me engaged and stimulated.

I am extremely grateful for my life experiences as they have not only shown me the worst, but also the best which, in return, has made me love life even more than before. They have taught me many lessons that I cherish and have shaped who I am. I want to give to others what very few have given to me rather than being bitter or revengeful. I believe that happiness only comes to those who finally accept it and aren't skeptical of its existence.

I have waited long to find the right mate in order to enjoy motherhood.I have found my soulmate, I can't wait to have babies with him! 😛 I am extremely grateful of my parents for making me a strong human being.I learned to face hardships with courage from them.I am thankful for giving me loyal friends who stood by me in my testing times and always had my back. thanks for sharing. It is how it is when you live with your family still. They have rules and you have to abide by them. Once you have your own place, you can be free to do what you want. Sleep in, leave towels on the floor in the bathroom, brush your teeth in the kitchen if you feel like it, or hang your underwear in the hallway. (of course, if that's you) lol

it is good you are grateful for your life. 😄

Just the simple good life, nothing fancy. Be with my loved ones, make a familly. Have a nice spot to relax and read books or just chill. (like the pretty image Lisa posted)
And just enjoy life with fam the old fashioned fun way that i'm used to !
Not asking for much, never had anything, so this would do for me.

well for one, you need to plan a good life.

and you know, that money is part of that plan. Financial stability (you dont need to be rich) but you need to be financial set up. Once you have the financial needs, you have the freedom to do what you want. After that, there are other problems you have to think of. But at least you are out of the Woods with the finances.

think of it as the pyramid. You need to start with basics: Hard work, routine, money making, because with money you need buy bread, butter, food in the cupboards, and the bigger stuff you can achieve later.

And ironically you will receive the simple, lovely things in life.(if that is what you wish)

and of course there are dreams to be fulfilled.If you want to fulfill your dreams, then do so. If you want to be a professional athlete, it takes hard work, and routine, and practice, and you'll get there. I've seen it happen with relatives.

if you want to go the route of school/education and pursue more business venue, then go to college, study hard, ect. All these things are simple, but takes TIME and hard work. Once you get it, you'll be fine.

Not to complain or anything. But yes the root problem is financial. I work 2jobs and barey manage my bills.
Had to tighten the belt for half a year just to put aside enough $ for a drivers license.

you need to re-locate, for example look around places where you can afford, neighborhoods that aren't bad of course, but if you have expensive tastes and less budget for it, you won't get far.

it sounds like you can't afford a financial advisor, so you have to be smart on your own without one.

sometimes it's the neighborhoood and building where you live (some places ask for an arm and a leg because of the neighborhood)

my sister and her man live in the most expensive neighborhood but they are making good money AND are both very very savvy with saving money. They have awesome money management.

My mother and i were talking about this the other day,true story, where she was saying that my father's relatives are traveling all over the world right now with their families. And i'm like, "Well mom, you know they are rich, they have alot of money!! they can do that"

then my mother says to me, nope, don't believe that for a minute. Yes it is true that you can make alot of money and get what you want but if you do NOT have good money management you will SUFFER.

two people for example: one is working in a high end career making tons of money but has poor money management.
the other is working just as a cashier, and a dog walker, and makes so little money but they are GOOD with money.

the other is extravangant and broke. You see?? MONEY MANAGEMENT.

lisabethur8- I think this is a good topic and a lot of global issues are going on. I believe you have many good ideas and valuable advise to do what you can with what you have. I am a big believe that "we have everything we need because where are exactly where we need to be or we would simply not be there." Not to say this does not have a harsh side. If people don't want to be responsible and are foolish with what they have then a lot of luck or marrying someone to take care of there problems for them is usually there answer. I have seen this from both male and females a like normally not a happy relationship in the end but not always. Oddly enough you can normally see these points in Vedic astrology just as divorces...

I will answer your questions as they apply to me and then comment on others things I found interesting... Sorry if I am long winded 🙂

Not all the time... after all who is... I am happy I am alive and living and would not trade my life for an others.

Yes there are things that help make life easier or smoother but often what true value or lessons do they hold for a higher spiritual development. We do go through everything for a reason... looked down on... And the women that where free could make there own choices.

As I find myself still recovering from my Saturn return and Saturn is gong retro back into Scorpio over my Mars point which can bring physical pain injury or discomfort... I have still been dealing with nerve issues in my spin, which has effected my shoulder and neck lately. It was kinda harsh on my leg before... from running and I am a physically active person... I had to learn to deal with this by doing yoga or other less abrasive work outs. It has not been fun... Have I been perfect no... am I happy not all the time. Even more so Relationships have been delayed for Aries or hardships for 4 years or difficulties... As before Scorpio which my 8 and 9th house... it was in Libra... 7 house of partner ships. I have had to work harder then normal for financial gain because of the 8th house transit. Cut back on spending in order to save more and even at a point I found myself realizing this was not a time to focus on relationships but to work hard... finish my college degree that I almost never finished and soon I will be gaining a license to work in a field I have always worked in and know very well... Which if need be would even allow me to be my own boss. I may even go back to school for a higher degree for 2 to 3 years... in math. We will see.

Never be Satisfied... Never will be... This implies my growth will stop by giving up just because I have reached a goal. Does this mean I will only ever wan to work to be buried with riches that will do me little good as I become worm food no... It simply means to me just as our chart is broken up in sections that I will be focusing on different areas of my life as the timing is right. My growth will come normally more where the challenges are and not where it is easy. I know more then a few people that are good with money but horrible fathers, mothers, brothers, sister, employees, workers, bosses, and so on... Just because we are doing well in one section of life does not mean we will not have challenges in others. Even if our challenge is to simply find self worth in our last days as we age and become less mobile. It is our will to continue "to good fight the good fight." Paulo Coelho??s "The Pilgrimage" This is our highest purpose as living energies with free will.

I will never be satisfied but always content with my willingness and understanding that I will never always be happy nor sad but that I will learn and do my best to move forward in a productive manner. As much as I can... again I am not perfect and have done bad to others has they have to me.

I am thankful for this understanding and awareness for all that I have stated above... knowing there is a purpose. That I have a place in this beautiful world that is much like a panting. Each of us with our own color and yet equally important in this master piece of life. How could we not be happy with our place, color, or position knowing that with out us the master piece of the over all energy flow... or master piece of life would be incomplete... That in it's self is the truest beauty... I am thankful that I can step back and find that. Realizing even my own life is not about me but about everyone and how we interact together.

Good... just be ready for the kids to give you a little crap every now and then... after all we gave all of our parents a little crap here and there.

I always tell everyone that there is no such thing as a movie happy ever after where we get what we want and the end... Life does not work that way. We still have to do with the energy flow that will still bring us our ups and downs. However finding someone that is supportive to be with helps... and a good family and friends as well. Have fun making babies when the time is right.

CaptainPimp if your gf makes you happy don't giver her up... Often younger men don't have alot of money and I would think she is not with you because she expects you to make a lot of money. As long as she is someone you can grow with... If she is supportive and a healthy relationship... aka does not expect you to do everything then I am sure it is a good relationship.

I know it is a harsh economy over there. I honestly don't know what to tell you... it sucks that there is so much corruption in world politics or it would not be so bad and there would be more jobs everywhere.

if you want to, you don't have to participate or say anything abuot it. it's your privacy.

but, let's just help you out here with finances and what your rent/bills are, ect.


For example, you say you work two jobs. are you receiving minimun wage?? on both of them?

i did some googling on the type of financial /economic cost of food there.

if you have trouble, how about asking another person to move in with you? Like a roommate?

you know so they can pay half the rent? I dont know how big your place is, and if you have enough room for another person. But that is another option. Is to ask for a roommate.

i see your point that it's "never be satisfied" because it stunts growth. I'm not saying be a monk, and live in the mountains and eat only vegatables, but we already have plenty of challenges everyday. For example, there are plenty of natural disasters happening all over the world, that's very stressful already.

CaptainPimp if your gf makes you happy don't giver her up... Often younger men don't have alot of money and I would think she is not with you because she expects you to make a lot of money. As long as she is someone you can grow with... If she is supportive and a healthy relationship... aka does not expect you to do everything then I am sure it is a good relationship.

I know it is a harsh economy over there. I honestly don't know what to tell you... it sucks that there is so much corruption in world politics or it would not be so bad and there would be more jobs everywhere.

also, to add,maybe her working income could help too, if they move in together. that could help. Like having two salaries and they wouldn't have to be apart from eachother too!! But i dont know if that is what she (his gf) would like,although that is up to her.

Romania is not the only country having an economic crisis. I was talking to my husband and his family about the European Union, and right now, even Greece is on the verge of getting kicked out because their economy sucks very badly right now. Italy isn't doing so well either. Although better than Greece, and Spain is barely hanging. This is just the overal scheme of things . I really don't know much abuot economics, so maybe someone can chime in and tell us what's up with the world over there.

She is last year of colledge finishing now. Going for internship, payed we hope.(or job) And we aren't toghether for that long. Know her for a year and half in total, half year fought for her, half toghether xD. Idk about moving in n stuff.

I earn above minnimmum but to give you a ideea. Minnimmum is like 200euro. ANd the a-holes arround here keep rent prices as high as other countries. Meaning, 150-200euro. A guy with minnimmum could not afford rent. Sure you can find with 60-80Euro. But that means 1 room, no kitchen no bathroom. Shared bath/kitchen on each floor, them really shitty buildings.
Generally speaking when they want to cut expenses. 3-4 move in to split the billz, not 1 partner. Quite inconvenient.
THe reason i work 2 is cuz i don't wanna be couped up with more guys, need privacy.

but that sounds awful about the high rent. no kitchen and no bathroom for a cheap one? Jeeez....where is the bathroom and kitchen? I mean, is it, like a public bathroom outside? That sounds terrible in the way you describe it.

it's fine if you live in the tropics though. If you live in a tropical Island, you can have an outside bathroom. But in Romania? It doesn't sound good. 😢

i think maybe a roommate might help. so you both can help eachother.

It's a public bath for the whole floor for most buildings like that. I never lived in one, thank god.
And some people just buy a stove in that tiny room they got. Cooking where ya sleep lawl. Ofc acomodations differ.
But in my town most are so.
Yeah sure i'd look for a roommate...but idk who honestly. And something stable. Best option would be GF.



that's the best option right now, since you live in a place with at least a bathroom and kitchen. lol

find someone at work who you can trust, so you know they can pay their part of rent. And maybe they need help too, for expenses so they will probably be happy they are also cutting their expenses in half.
