What's with those Aussies
:: He could be facing jail time over his decision to illegally bring his two dogs into Australia.
An Australian Senate committee was told on Monday that if the matter goes to court and the Pirates of the Caribbean star is found guilty, he could face up to 10 years in jail or a maximum fine of $ 265,000.
Depp, 51, landed in hot water earlier this month after flying into Australia on a private jet with his Yorkshire Terriers, Pistol and Boo — breaking the country's strict quarantine laws.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, an ongoing investigation found that Depp, his fellow passengers and the flight crew didn't declare the dogs' presence, and they were only discovered after the pups were taken to a local groomer and photos were posted on social media. ::

Anyone who has been there knows creativity, diversity and culture are the exception, not the rule.

10 years for not following a protocol that has been put in place to protect Australia's eco system.
Did you know that in the 1920s they brought cane toads into aus because the farmers were getting black beetles in their sugar cane crops. Little did they know the cane toads went on to eat everything including the beetles and they thrived because they have no natural predators here because everything that tries to eat them die from their venom, its one of australia's biggest shames because they have made their way into the northern territory and places like kakadu which is one of the most beautiful places on earth and now its being taken over by cane toads, we have the same problem with feral rabbits and foxes etc....
Our environment is precious and its priceless, no fine paid could undo the potential damage that Depp did, in my honest opinion he knew exactly what he was doing when he brought his dogs here, he has the money and resources to get them through quarantine and customs.....Hes traveled enough to know the deal with this shit, it just shows his disregard for the law, its disrespectful and TBH I think 10 years is harsh but I'm not above having him banned from Aus.

Australia is by far the most Jingoistic and racist country I have visited. Its a beautiful place, with some great people. But it has Issues. Seriously...
