Mirroring in relationships happens when one partner unconsciously reflects the other's behaviors or emotions. It often indicates deep connection, empathy, or a desire to build rapport. Recognizing mirroring can help you understand your partner's feelings and intentions better.

I do and it works because it creates rapport.

Btw I always mirror both negative and positive emotions it's amazing cause often times the female I'm mirroring knows without saying a word if I'm upset or happy even with a poker face cause they tell me.
It is a way to develop empathy with people. From my experience the more you mirror naturally the more you like someone.
I do it - just instinctual for me.
I will mirror to a point. If there is something important to me that needs to be spoken about , I'll come out & say it without anymore mirroring or without mirroring at all.. If a person is being sweet with me I'll be sweet back .. If someone is giving me an attitude I'll ask what's up with them .. So , just depends.
Sometimes a person mirrors onother because they admire/like them. They want to be more like them in a way. In synergology it's a sign of attraction.
It creates validation and increases attraction.
I don't do it on purpose...
