I don't seem to get along with Leos

I've read on all the sites that Aries and Leo are supposed to get along really well but in my life that has been far from true. I've briefly dated 3 Leos and been friends with many more but in the end I always seem to get sick of them very quickly. I have yet to meet a Leo who truly lives up to the description on the sites. I have yet to meet a strong Leo at least by my standards. They are caught up in what other people think of them and while they put on a good show they are nothing but paper tigers (lions? lol). Whenever something bad happens to them they are the first people to complain and feel sorry for themselves. They are extremely shallow and there doesn't seem to be much there. They are also ridiculously insecure and become frightened should you not pay attention to them.

Has anyone else had an experience like this? Maybe I've just been unlucky but I've found all the Leos I've ever known to be absolutely unbearable.

Ha i know they are. i know there not all bad but i dont like alot of them there stupid egos and there need to love people is pure fake and has an agenda everytime. I have no time nor do i have a pump to inflate there egos anymore i cant even be bothered to put a pin init. 😄

Although i did have a little thing with a leo a good couple of years ago didnt go well but atleast he liked david bowie too i guess.... :/

I agree with them being pansies lol. I don't get how they are in the same element as such strong signs as Aries and Sagittarius are. I also get exasperated with how unbelievably selfish and inconsiderate they are. They are described as being generous and kind-hearted but I have as of yet to meet a Leo who is caring and empathetic towards anyone but themselves. I admittedly have a big ego but even I can not take the sheer size of theirs.

People w/ a lot of Leo are loyal and protective. And when they do get upset (and they pretty often) they get over it fast.

I just had a group project in my Psychology class and this Leo girl insisted on being the leader and then she did absolutely nothing and then had the nerve to ask I quote: "How did I do at leadering?". To which I replied: "Wait you were the leader? You didn't do anything". To which she ran away crying. I almost felt bad but it was pretty clear they were crocodile tears intended to get everyone to feel sorry for her.

I'm an Aquarius sun but, I'm an Aries rising. I have yet to meet a Leo woman who hasn't incited feelings of rage in me. Lol. I found them to be very selfish and self-absorbed, snobbish, vain yet insecure, melodramatic, petty and incredibly attention seeking. They had the attitude that the world revolved around them.

I once had a Leo best friend and I ended up walking away from the friendship because of the qualities I listed. Any time we had a disagreement, we could not have a civil, calm discussion. She??d get snappy and sarcastic, and eventually turn it into a dramatic scene worthy of daytime television. I felt like I could never be upfront and honest with her if I what I had to say could in ANY way be construed as critical of her. Her ego was fragile and she protected it fiercely. Whenever we went out, she would sulk if she was not the center of attention. If she thought I looked better in my outfit than she did, she would refuse to go anywhere. She had a generous side. There were definitely times when she was an awesome friend. But, when it came to fulfilling the emotional needs of others in compromise of her own-- whether it be in romantic relationships or friendships- she was soooo selfish. It was all about her. I have an Aqua friend with a Leo moon and I see a lot of the same qualities in her. She seemed fun and entertaining at first but, I slowly realized that is a front. Underneath the dazzling exterior is a very insecure, childish and self-absorbed person. I've never dealt with Leo men so, I can't comment on them.

However, it is not only about a sign. I always think that a lot of times it is about self-awareness. If a person doesn't even think how one's actions or harsh words affect others, they prolly do not even have the urge to change. Especially since leos do often think they're the best. It takes a lot of time, discomfort, and analysis to see and try to fix what is wrong with you. And then, who is to determine WHAT is wrong besides the individual himself..and if they think they're awesome, they're not going to do it. I know several leos who limited their circle of friends to lower class people just to feel better about themselves and then everything just kind of went downhill for them. It is not enough to just think you're awesome, you actually need to be the best. And I am a strong believer that leos do have that competitive gene and energy which can be applied in the right direction. I don't want to makwe this about myself, but I HAVE NEVER had friends walk away from me.

Now that is a meaningful contribution to the conversation! Now that I think about it all of the Leos I know except for one are around my age (I'm 19) so that might have something to do with my overwhelmingly negative pool of experiences with them. It is wonderfully refreshing to hear such honesty and candor from a Leo. I tip my hat to you.

I think you have a very good point that younger Leos at least seem to be highly deficient in terms of self awareness. A Leo I was friends with in High School started ignoring me because she didn't like the fact I was stronger and had much higher confidence than she did. Even to this day when I see her from time to time she almost seems to cower in my presence as if she is afraid at any moment I am going to run her over with a bulldozer.

ROFL...Yeah we all owe it to that pissy little Leo dude who came in here and managed to prove our points far better than we could on our own and simultaneously amuse us to no end.

Hopefully we didn't bruise his ego too badly. I might need another good laugh tomorrow.

Maybe the issue with how we look at the other signs is that we don't understand why we are so real, honest, forward, face-value type people, and folks that confuse us are those that hold out in situations, like love, work relationships, friendships etc.

Because I think highly on how I go through this life I can get quite shocked at other people's behavior.

Either I admire those that behave more appropriate than me or I partner up with those also willing to participate in the matter, all else tend to confuse as to why they showed up but aren't willing to do anything.

All in all, my point is that because I expect others to share in this life on a certain level, that I forget we are all different, and in the case of Leo's just so confused and frustrated by their energy that seems to exclude others rather than include others such as talking about themselves as if they are the only ones that matter, etc, or the last to call you when you are home sick.

... I have some great Leo friends but because of the way they carry themselves I would rather hang out with someone who can talk about anything other than how great they are.

every aries i've ever met seems to like me just fine, usually moreso than i like them, so i'm not worried. in fact, i've been tight with one aries guy for 14 years because of my leo ways. he can hardly hold on to any relationship because he is the very definition of aries aggressiveness and i'm one of the few who can quash his overbearing ways.

usually the people we attract into our lives reflects who we are inside so... enough said 😉

I think I know who you're referring to but I didn't read most of this thread. I'm not validating nor enabling anyone's behavior. We are all in control of our own actions here. I'm just trying to tell the leos in this thread who are taking offense and reacting to not take it so personal. I understand leos are very prideful creatures (I'm not above it). Therefore, hate threads such as these that are directed toward them might leave their egos wounded a bit. I'm just offering up the advice to let it roll and let the haters hate if they want to.

I'd just like to point out at this time that so far only 3 Leos have posted here. (Unless I missed one) And only one has behaved badly =) and apparently his posts are gone now. The others have been perfectly fine. Just to be fair to the Lions.

Usually when someone uses the slang term "hater", it does not necessarily equate to actual "hating" but at least a dislike to some degree. So, I didn't mean to assume that you were truly hating anyone and for that I apologize.

The majority of the complaints here weren't about Leos being fiery, it was more about them being self-centered.

I just love how the offending Leo, zerox, had to delete his account rather than hide his posts.

Seems to me Aries are like Scorpios in this way... Pisces and Cancer have each other and Sag and Leo have each other...
