It's Empathy Fridays and I'm practicing empathy : P
Sidenote: Libran energy is independent imo. It's just that self-discovery happens faster in relationship contexts.

Working between being yourself and connecting with people. But it's hard to be yourself when nobody likes your brash craziness 😢

@tiz what do you mean by social influences?
For example, have you ever had a connection with someone where - by itself just between you both - it was great, no major roadbumps... but then once either money, friends, family or any kind of outside concerns came into the equation it's a different story?
A common theme of Aries/Libra is boundaries, from now till infinity.
My usefulness in this thread is fast disappearing, but it's just something I was thinking about with the two signs.click to expand

Too true!!!! I was having just this convo today saying I was SICK of compromising myself to save other peoples ego/feelings; As an Aries I just want to be myself. People don't understand that it's suffocating to an Aries to try and placate other people; makes me want to break out and run for the hills 😢
People who are akin to us love our dynamic, forthright and sassy nature so fuck everyone else!!! 😄click to expand

I had a close Aries friend who I never speak to anymore, but I understand her. You guys are just living contradictions and have to deal with the consequences. If you want people to respect your space, you need to respect theirs. It's so funny how much you need your independence and yet you need people around whenever you desire attention.

One of the Aries guys i was with didnt know how to empathise with others...when i finished with him i asked him if he could in the future try and consider the *other* person ~~ he said * i will try * ~~ i dont think it had even occurred to him

We are all Special anji, especially Scorpio women...lol ;
So years ago i was at my son's school concert and talking to the other mums. One of them a very kind Cappy woman was handing out biscuits to the children. She handed one to a little boy and his mother snatched it out of his hand and started to eat it!! The Cappy woman gasped and i just turned to the other mother and said *Aries*?? She replies *yeah, me first*. Poor kid!!
Sheeeesh!

I guess I never had that experience before... because IME I've always been able to relate it back to some internal factor.
I went away and thought about this. You're right. Thanks.click to expand

Thats the thing about us Aries... it's not that we see the indiscretion we are just completely oblivious to it. We are just so caught up in the moment and ourselves we forget there are others around us -_-... not a trait I'm proud of but I try my best 🙂click to expand

Poor kid... reminds me of this video at a baseball game where a player hands the ball to a kid and a man snatches it away from the kid an shows it to his buddy like he caught it *smh*
Haha as I read that story though I was thinking... maybe it because he can't have cookies (I know a lot of children with special dietary need), and the Aries without thinking of how it may look just snatched it out and ate it... haha we do that a lot. Impulsive without much thought to how it may look. This can be bad and it can be good. In the darkside if it comes from a place of selfishness, then yes it's bad, but that isn't always the case. I love to read up on history and politics, especially South American related, and there are a lot of Aries revolutionaries. And that really comes from our attitude of "We don't care what others think we are going to stick with our heart and guts"... and sometimes it's better to create your own path than follow the crowd like a sheep.... baaaaaahhh.click to expand

I was thinking this too. Maybe he wasn't allowed to have biscuits. That's probably why she snatched it. I know I can come off as brash without meaning to and so can my mom and she's a cancer.. Actually, anyone can come off as rude. Subjectivity.click to expand

...and i went for a leg and foot massage yesterday and the therapist was an Aries!! Lovely girl, married to a Scorp (god bless her) 😄, we got on very well ...
so all you have to do now is convince me the men are as good (never gonna happen)
lol

Experiences, both my own and as i said before 35 other women..talking bout the men now, not the ladies 🙂. Aries men take forrrrrever to grow up...not stable or mature, so stay away if you want to have a grounded committed r.ship. I am sorry, but having seen the same thing over and over and over again with Aries men, cant help but *GENERALIZE*
I understand this comes from your experience and the experience of other women. I also understand this POV due to reading threads on the Aries board.
But life is not black and white like that, and neither is people. No single description can fit every individual. Outliers are impossible to avoid in Statistics, even if you have a convergent series of data.click to expand

Air Nation 😏

On the topic,
I find it difficult to contain my energy... fire and air is so combustible... thank goodness for earth ascendant.
I came to a cross - roads. I had to choose a career that would unleash my firey-airy nature; or, a career that would contain it. I was asked by my sculpture professor, (an ex-marine) to become his assistant professor. I knew the life of an artist is highly eccentric. I was living it, breathing it, as a student... awesome intellectual and physical environment - sculpture (drawing, painting). It would have beamed me up to the point of idiosyncratic euphoria I knew I would become very difficult to relate to... I was asked to join the intellectual underground.
Sometimes, I wonder if I made the right choice. I can sculpt anytime is what I tell myself and I do. But, I still wonder.
