i wear my husband's and son's birthday stones for years.
and good things have always happened, before that, i wore my birthstone and i wasn't happy back then. when my son was born, i was happy.

Amethyst often engages the third eye and crown chakras. If you have any blockages or imbalances in those areas that could explain what your feeling. Especially if your someone who is particularly sensitive to your body.

My Mom just got me a beautiful amethyst ring. I want to wear it and make her happy but as soon as I wear it my head hurts a little and I'm super sleepy. What should I do??
diamonds aren't good for me for some reason, it gives me headaches. that's April.

but silver is good for me.

I don't believe in the astro associations with gems. I can wear stones, etc. that are not supposed to be good for Scorpio including amethyst, which is one of my favourite stones.
That said, I have had the weird experience of not feeling good wearing or holding certain materials. I think it may be true that there are energies in all things that we interact with and sometimes, maybe depending on our state of health, it will feel bad or good or neutral.
