I always find my Ascendant based horoscopes to be a much more accurate picture of my month. Does anyone find their sun sign astrology even close? I know degrees can play into this, potentially lending more or less focus to one or the other.

Maybe it's an elementary question.. but I personally do not see how your sun sign could be as accurate. Do YOU use them together?

This is not a serious area of focus for me but I do listen to my favorite girl Kelly Rosano, who I find incredibly enjoyable and well studied, every month.

I'm a natal 20° sun Sagittarius, Asc Scorpio 5°

Perhaps it is the major differences in those signs that makes identifying with both evenly too separating.

Also, I have not actually read this but is it fair to say that the Ascendant is Earth in the lineup, and that is what makes its influence more potent than anything further away?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Happy New Year!

Idk if you are talking about this, but if you are saying your month predictions, is normal to feel more identified by the ascendant, because the ascendant marks the other houses ( 1st house in Cancer, 2nd in Leo, 3rd in Virgo... even if there are intercepted signs the wheel continues through the signs).

In predictions they usually talk about money, romance etc. to make those predictions about specific areas they look into houses.

For example, if Jupiter is transiting the sign of Libra and you are a Cancer Asc. Jupiter will be transiting very possibly your 4th house, so the month horoscope of Cancer will say: you will have harmonious rship with your family, and good luck regarding your home...

Is good to read both, but in your sun sign only taking into consideration the influences on that sign (not the areas), if is well positioned by transitions.
