Anyway, I do have a theory about how Scorpio-dominants decide they're being lied to when other people would not see it that way.
It's the fact that they are naturally so very careful, that they are calculating, that they do research (and some of that research is sometimes nefarious), that they hold back what they will say until they have all the facts...so they won't make a mistake. So they won't tell an "accidental lie." The other 11 signs are simply not so careful and calculating. If a Scorpio assumes they are, they are assuming the person is acting as they would have acted.
I'd also say that evolved Scorp/Scorp dominant/Scorp Mars people forgive loved ones dishonesty. We can hold grudges, but not for too long. But it would surely depend on the weight of the lie how we deal with it in particular.

The two times in life that I've retaliated wasn't to a partner, it was to male work associates (an attorney and my department CFO). They both were eventually fired, as they should have been. Two different companies and two different situations, neither had an HR firm in place. Don't sexually harass people and you won't have that issue.
In personal relationships if heavily wronged I will walk away depending on what happened. If it's minor of course there are discussions to try to resolve whatever the issue was, I wouldn't have been able to stay married for 12 years without those qualities. So don't take what I said as being inflexible, we are all human and flawed. I prefer people to be honest and direct as I stated above, because once you break the trust it's so difficult to repair.
