What dominates your personality more?
Sun Sign and Ascendant.

Prolly my Moon on here. Real life is asc.
Posted by RooSagicornI'm actually not quite sure how the sun and Ascendant work. I know your Sun describes your overall personality, how people perceive you, but isn't it the same with the Ascendant too?
Both? In different ways I take on both of them. Sun is in the 12th so I’ve been more aware of the Asc. But as I’ve gotten more aware of myself.. Ummm look at all those other traits ( from my 12th house sun) 😂
Posted by RooSagicornPosted by IlovemyaquaWell Ascendant is people’s first impression of you they say. So for example I am a Sagittarius sun & I’m a Capricorn Ascendant. I am not very approachable due to the Asc. Reserved, people think I don’t like them. But really I just need to be comfortable around you & then I act like that Sag. My sun is also in the 12th house which can mean it’s hidden. Does that help?Posted by RooSagicornI'm actually not quite sure how the sun and Ascendant work. Yep! I got the part about how the Sun and Ascendant differ. House thing I'm still unclear, will get a hang of it eventually maybe. 😅

Posted by IlovemyaquaJesus Christ! Question is about sun or ascendant (AKA rising); and we hear about the moon or "insecurities". Le sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "What dominates your personality more?" (your sun or ascendant?)
What dominates your personality more?
Eva calms down now and is ready to answer: My sun sign; keep reminding y'all the ascendant (AKA rising) is just a SHADOW of your sun sign.
🤗 cyber hugs!
Love,
Eva
Posted by RooSagicornAh! I am Gemini dominant. I am a cusper too, on the cusp of Taurus and Gemini. I too feel like a hybrid. Well as for me I am also Cap dominant & am on the Sag-Cap cusp so the Cap comes out strongly and I tend to act like that, but the sun is strong lol so I’m kinda like a hybrid of the two. The older I get, I act more like a Sag actually, click to expand
I sometimes think my Gemini is taking over me as I grow old since I'm becoming more flexible now, unlike my Taurus self. I also made this thread on Taurus forum. I was curious if all of us, as humans start being more flexible with age or is it something with our charts.
Posted by RooSagicornI just looked up my nodes. North is Scorpio and South is Taurus. So my goal in life is to be more like a Taurus? Interesting.Posted by IlovemyaquaAh interesting!! Well I think part of it is the nodes. Mine are Capricorn/Cancer. They say past life would be more like a Cap and your goal in this life to work more towards Cancer. Which I have done some of that work via personal growth probably during a midlife crisis. as I went away from acting like a Cap or facing fears that Cap traits kept me more controlled with, the letting go helped the Sag naturally come out more. Posted by crazysiouxI guess people do perceive me as a Leo(Leo Rising) . I am not quite sure if/when my Virgo Moon takes over. I guess I'm more of a Taurus in situations that need practicality. In matters of heart/people I care about, I guess I'm more of a Gemini and Virgo maybe? I'm not really sure how my moon controls me, because I trust everybody but my loved ones easily. Crazy, I know.
I'm more Virgo Rising from the start. Once I'm comfortable, my Libra Moon takes over. It eventually surprises the fuck out of people when they realize that I'm a Cap. They don't get a strong whiff of my Sun Sign until I start communicating my values, principals, goals, etc.

Well my mom swears I am a libra rising born at 7:34 but my wrist band from my premature medical band, and BC both say 10:55 for Scorpio, and I resemble both pretty well, I love fashion, makeup, beauty, flirting, I’m really charismatic and chatty, but I am not a peace maker by any means. I have never been one to shy away from causing strife or chaos, I don’t prefer it, but if i feel an injustice you better believe I will rip someone a new asshole and start shit.
I have my Mars in Scorpio though, which I really resonate with, and I do at times feel like I’m quite Scorpio like, and I have the “look” but overall I would say I am absolutley Aries.
I am just unsure what my rising is as I feel like I COULD relate to both.

I feel like I don’t really act like either. Except my aries mercury.
I feel like I’m between cap and aqua
My moon and mars I think is what matters me to me the most. Maybe because I subconsciously notice it
Except for a few Moons, Mars here and there, I can see the Sun winning.

I feel my sun, moon and venus more than my asc.

Sun, Moon and Ascendant in Aquarius but strangely by statistics Aquarius isn't my strongest.
Sagittarius is the strongest then Aquarius and then Pisces.
I feel more Piscean though due to my Pisces Venus and Mars in the 1st house.

No you have that backwards. My north Node is Cancer. And south is Capricorn.
Your North Node Life Path:
Taurus and Scorpio are the signs that rule money, power and sensuality. If you born with a Taurus north node or a Scorpio north node, your destiny involves learning to balance the spiritual and material worlds. These nodes exude sexual prowess, earthy sensuality and power. Channeling these dynamic forces in healthy, balanced ways can be a challenge, as these lunar nodes are prone to extremes. You are often pulled between the practical and mystical, the sensible and the spiritual.
Taurus south node/Scorpio north node people are learning to embrace “what could be” instead of fixating on “what is.” They have spent lifetimes steeped in material world as hardworking, practical people. They enjoyed spending money, and could resurface as arbiters of luxury and fine taste. Taurus rules the senses: touch, taste, smell, sound, sight. They might be gifted artists and musicians (Prince and Justin Bieber were both born with Scorpio north node) or have a keen sense of style (like iconic fashion designer Coco Chanel).
This lifetime, indulgence and hedonism can be their downfall. Their Scorpio north node pries them away from the physical and into the spiritual realm. Scorpio north node people are learning about life beyond their senses and daily habits (work, eat, sleep, drink, screw, repeat). Scorpio also rules wealth and investments. These people are learning to make their money work for them, instead of just working for their money.
On the flip side, Taurus north node/Scorpio south node people have arrived here to work! In past lives, they were powerful and privileged people who were often born into wealth. They may have been advisors to royalty or political leaders, working masterfully behind the scenes. Now, it’s their time to step into a position of public power, rolling up their sleeves and learning to be the providers, earners and do-ers. In this lifetime, inherited wealth or status is a burden, not a blessing. They yearn to be bootstrappers, proving that they can do it themselves! Many Scorpio south nodes need to break free of “golden handcuffs.” For example, they may have overprotective families who control them with emotional blackmail or often, by financing their lives (thereby eliminating the “need” to work). Fighting to be self-sufficient is often a struggle. What Taurus north node people should do is use their money, connections and influence to help open doors for people who don’t have their privilege.
Scorpio is a mysterious sign, and the Scorpio south node’s challenge is to shed a veil of secrecy. While anonymity protected them in past lives, too much privacy now creates trouble. (Case in point: Scorpio south node Hillary Clinton’s private email account that led to a federal investigation.) These people can even earn a reputation as untrustworthy and calculating. Some Scorpio south node people are born into families with deep, dark secrets: addiction, abuse, corruption, crime. Their soul work is to move past shame. Taurus rules the throat chakra; Taurus north nodes are learning to speak out loud.

But they're middle and outer planets.
i dunno i think taurus because i'm a homebody, i have very much homebody traits. and i feel libra venusian because i like marriage and tradition alot, (love being in a marriage/partnership) but i read all the time tradition belongs to capricorn. so all of those. i love having a marriage where the man is the breadwinner, even if i make money. like he has power and i love that.
ok...hm ascendant if i have to choose. cause those traits above don't fit aqua.

I'd say more sun. Sun is Capricorn but Ascendant is Gemini. Apparently there are two style s of Gem ascending and the second is definitely mine. From Cafe Astrology:
I have found two style s of presentation most common with Gemini rising people. One style is bubbly, changeable, talkative, and a little quirky. These natives are interesting and fun. They constantly explain things, whether it's their own behavior and opinion or those of the world around them (nope)
Another distinct " style " is a rather cool and intellectual demeanor. These natives are often quite witty and clever, but they present themselves in a less cheerful and changeable way than the first group. Their observations are sharp and the overall manner is a tad brusque. (Yep) No matter the style , Gemini rising natives are given to analysis and making sense of their world. Their powers of observation are well-developed, they are mentally active (more often than not, their minds are racing!), and they almost always have something bright or witty to say. It is easy for individuals with this position to get sidetracked, as their curiosity is large, their minds are quick, and their attention spans rather short!
The second style fits into my Cap sun, but gives me a little bit of inventiveness and sometimes strong social powers...when I want to turn it on lol.
