Damnata...makes sense. I'm trying my best to remain positive and it's mostly for the benefit of the people around me. After today's failed diagnosis procedure...I actually cried and admitted to my friend that I'm "tired" of the process. One of the hardest part of my illness is feeling obligated to help those around me be ok. I need their affirmation of my inner hope, peace, and jovial attitude to make it through. I don't need or want them grieving. I'm constantly hearing from my loved ones, "why you of ALL people?. I'm determined not to adopt that attitude or mindset. So, I need them to get on board the happy train, even on the days that I'm smiling and laughing through/despite the pain. Plus, selfishly...I can't deal with anymore tears. It tears me apart to hear ftiends/family/my guy crying over the phone, because they don't want to see me physically deteriorate as much as I don't want to experience it.
Good job on that one. Thanks. Like, everything else in my life. Eventually, I'll strike a good/workable balance. I know that I will.

Let me put it like this. A person throws a pebble in the water. In this case, the pebble being the illness, the water being you. The pebble will create ripples on the surface of the water, but those ripples are outside of the water, the water beneath the ripples is still and calm and grounded.
Be calm and grounded, and allow the people in your life to deal with the ripples in any way they can. They are reacting to the process, not a part of the process.
