I will argue til you feel shame for even existing on this planet if you try to mock someone I care about or an underdog. For myself, not that much. I have a good grasp on banter vs arguing.

I guess for all people it depends on making their point.
If they feel they made their point, they will stop. If they feel it wasn't accurately expressed..they will continue.
If I feel I explained my stance, I might follow up with some witty lines or just joke around the topic but I won't argue the same idea in the same manner for all eternity.
Virgo...hands down.

I agree, as Libra dominant. I loooove a good debate. Aqua BF hates that I like to argue (in his words). But it's not a real argument, it's more like an intellectual exercise.
I like debating points of view, not honest to god arguments.

Sag - can be fun to debate with if its purely philosophical, but they are IMO the worst people to argue with over serious issues, especially when emotions are involved. They see it like any other form of competition; main goal is to *win*, not necessarily arrive at truth/learn. So they will perform amazing feats of sophistry, often including lying, to reach that goal. Can be very annoying but its also so easy to read when they are BS'ing . Favorite Sag tactic when cornered is to change the subject, usually if is about a serious issue with them, they completely flip it to an issue with you.

Same here.
The difference between debating and arguing (IMO), is that the former is intended to reach a consensus or conclusion, whereas the latter is a sport that never ceases. People who argue incessantly are attention seekers, usually. They probably have some kind of an inferiority complex from being overlooked.

I have had so many Sag friends all of my life, and I am with a Sag now for several years. I agree with what you're saying and its SO easy to forgive their little lies...they are of the "white" variety, and we both laugh when I catch her in them. That is actually how I catch her; I keep questioning her until I actually convince *her* that she's lied or rewritten history in her favor in some way with a very selective or exaggerated retelling. She cracks a smile ("duper's delight" as they call it) and then we both laugh...I think its just a byproduct of the fact that the goal is to *win* - not necessarily arrive at the truth, in a lot of cases with them....I think pride and their *tremendous* competitiveness is at the root of it....
My parents are by far the most argumentative people I have ever met in my life.
Mom: Aries Sun, Leo Moon, Taurus Mercury, Gem Mars
Dad: Cancer Sun & Mercury, Gemini Moon, Virgo Mars
By contrast, my sister has Libra Mars and is one of the least argumentative I have ever known. She's Leo Sun, Virgo Moon & Mercury. I think she's too practical to waste energy arguing.
Last week I had a very long debate with a friend. He took the whole thing very personally (even though it was regarding a national news story, not about him) and pulled lots of things from "left field," totally "grasping at straws," etc. He's Libra Sun, Mercury, & Mars, Cancer Moon.
One of the most argumentative relationships I've had was my ex: Libra Sun & Mercury, Aqua Moon, Scorpio Mars. We agreed on very few things and debated constantly. Exhausting.
I happen to enjoy a good debate but not endlessly running in circles. I want it to go somewhere, open our minds a little more maybe. A good argument generates new ideas, concepts, perceptions. I will argue just for the fun of it sometimes but my preference is for it to have a purpose. I'm Libra/Virgo Cusp Sun, Gem Moon, Libra Mercury, Cap Mars.
Also I agree with the Sag answers. The Sags I know will argue points that don't even necessarily have a purpose though.. Like what is the function of your point? Nothing, is usually the answer. Just something to think about.

yeah its true sags aren't competitive about most things, but when it comes to arguing..oh boy....but I don't think they purposely do it lol
I hate arguments for my life. Most of my arguments were with my Virgo-Scorpio sister. Two with my Cancer brother. A lot with a Pisces colleague. One with my Pisces-Aqua brother. That was it.
Arguing with me (multiple Sag): I don't even believe you are free of emotions/hiddenAgenda or can isolate the subject. Or think in abstraction. Cause if you could I was listening to you like I listen to the radio.
I think about content of arguments multiple times later and try to extract some information or thinking model from them.
In my opinion if you are arguing with a Sag, you are actually pushing an idea onto them. They are blocking the power attack. The subject itself can be negotiated any time later in any other form. It's only a matter of approach.
I'm argumentative. my dad always told me I should be a lawyer because all I do is argue lmao. I don't know what to really attribute that to, but I'm a Scorp with a Virgo moon and Libra ascendant. and a Scorp merc. however I'm also non confrontational. the only people I feel comfortable arguing with are my close friends and family. I view it as friendly debate, idk. I like deep conversations and discussing my viewpoints

I'm aries and only argue when I think I'm right, if I'm proved wrong I'll hold my hands up and admit defeat. Also tend to give up if its going round in circles and getting nowhere.

giiirrlll, very very truthfully, in real life, i have made both my sisters cry. And i didnt like it. But we made up, My Aries sister acts super tough, but when we fight, she ends up crying alot and running. Her Libra husband gets very upset, because she tells him afterward.
the brother in laws dont like to interfere cause they think sisters fight all the time. I am not proud of it either, but when they come at me and do shit that i dont like, there's gonna be a WAR.
for example, my sister told me that she promised something for me, and then because she puts her friends ABOVE us, even her family (she's got aquarus venus) that don't sit well with me.
and my husband even said i should just let it be. I'm like wtf?? why?? My husband and the bro in laws say to leave it be. but if i leave it be, she will keep doing this shit to us, promising and promising and then make her friends above us.
i should know better, that her friends are worth more than us anyway. but i never learn. true story.

Just curious. To answer your question, I have a twin sister. There's no arguing with her -_- . It's her way or the highway. But yeah. Sags are tough. They do get upset but they hold their own.

but there are libra men who are cruel out there and there are good ones too. But there is the story i read recently of Evil Knievel who is a Libra sun/Leo moon/Virgo mars/Sag Venus
who was known to be SUPER VIOLENT. and extremely confrontational.
