Why is it that....

Chart Interpretation board is so inactive, despite the fact quite a few people will jump at the chance to show their charts?
Further more, it seems that not many people actually read them/give interpretations.

Is it simply a confidence thing or something else I'm not aware of?

It's not all in your head. I'm guilty of doing the same thing you mentioned.

Oh I feel you on the chart aspect thing. I actually used the little grid that astro.com gave with charts to read them first. I can read them now, but honestly, I focus on the grid since I know the symbols and can simply get right to work.

Usually I don't have enough time to read charts or it never crosses my mind to go there. So we can be guilty together. I just found it a bit odd, since you'd think it be more active considering what it's there for.

A short while back people made an effort, it was Ands with i-ching, Impulsv, JAG, MA and a few others, fullwaterpisces with tarot... DI with horary.

Frankly all it did was completely overrun this board. Some figured out most of the traffic started coming here and literally started making threads on any subject. Topics that should have been in Relationships came here.

That's most astro forums, not just DXP. It's no point answering people's threads with astrology when what they really want is comfort, judgement etc.

Astrologyweekly is probably the closest thing to be an astro forum for actual astrology but I don't go there, I just read.

AstroWeekly. The place were astro newbs go to die. 😐

I could give it a shot. Might want to make the thread in Chart Interpretation forum. That way you can cut all the unrelated crap out and just get posts relating to your charts.

I would think it's due to the amount of people who ask for chart interpretations. And that asking for it seems selfish and somewhat trivial. Like 'Oh, just another person looking to talk and learn about themselves. They could easily just look all this information up, themselves'. Not to mention, the lack of people who are well versed enough on astrology to give in depth interpretations (at least, when it comes to those who are members on this board). The chart interpretation forum has never had lots of responses, even when I joined.

And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with wanting or asking for an interpretation. If I didn't ask for one myself back when I joined, then I definitely thought about asking for one.

I've noticed that those who do give explanations to specific responses and people are often sought out. For instance, I know if I were Tiz, I'd have regretted ever offering up any help or answers due to the amount of people asking me stuff. Not implying that he feels that way (or that anyone who does ask him things should feel bad. That's not up for me to say or decide).

I look every day and sometimes I like to write a note.

That board is not interesting cause they come for synastry. And for how long do they date? And they are too lazy to google or to read the description chart provider usually give.

I had a Sag girl pming me. that was real. they have history together. also she googles a lot.
