I haven’t read her stuff since I was a teenager, but I did read a lot of her books. I think my favorite was Memnoch the Devil. It was my first introduction to an alternative narrative to religion. I can’t remember the details of the story now, but believe it showed a different perspective to religion which suited me at the time, since I was very angry with god then.

I love Anne Rice.

I've read her Erotic Sleeping Beauty books, before she was known for writing her vampire books. I've read lots of her vampire ones too, but it was when I was in my 20's. This makes me want to do one of the famous cemetery tours in New Orleans now.

I hope they give her a good send off!

She's like royalty down there. I'm sure they will do their best during omicron.

Yes, but these books are way more gory. They punish by whipping them and making them bleed. Having them on leashes and walking them like dogs 😆

It was still very interesting to read.

I've read almost all her books. I was obsessed with Interview with the Vampire when the movie came out and my mom was like "I have some of her books" and I ended up reading them. Even the erotica ones when I was a little older than a teenager lol. When I was 18 my parents took me to New Orleans and we walked by her house. Sad that she is gone but she is with her daughter now(the inspiration for her vampire novels) so I'm sure she is at peace.
