Where to start? Getting to know you guys takes time, that reserved shell reminds me of myself in many ways. As opposites, we both aim for the same thing yet in different ways. Security is the keyword for the both of us. Usually financial, but other types as well. So I don't mind one bit that I have to make a constant presence of myself for people of your sign to open themselves to me a bit. Honestly, I've had multiple occasions happen where a Cancer companion of mine shared things with me I wasn't expecting to hear until we've been friends for years. That trait about it is admirable in a way to me, to act on the feelings instead of slowly dishing them out in crumbs. Once you've bonded with someone, you don't make them beg for emotional scraps from the table. You let them in, usually not all the way, but enough that it can be like meeting a whole new person. I know first hand the beautiful feeling of having Cancers show their concern for me, sharing their fears with me, talking about their past memories and hopes for the future. I've been the anchor when they dealt with an unexpected emotional wave that threatened to make them capsize in the water. I've them tell me they were ready and willing to FIGHT on my behalf when I was in a situation where someone's emotional manipulation of me brought out some of the darkest parts of my personality. Once you've decided to share you fondest of feelings and love toward someone as friend, it's a feeling I can say is worth it.

The days where you need solitude, the days where you need to get idea out on the table, the days where you simply want fun, days where you want to work or days you simply just want be. At first it can seem erratic or moody, though really it seems like a natural thing. Humans are ever changing and forever in motion. While most are unaware of subtle changes they make when with a friend, lover, co-worker or stranger, you know these changes. While others get to be blissfully unaware of how often they change, you know how often moods can changes. Which makes the next thing you the know, impressive to me. Despite knowing that you can't keep up a façade of unchanging feelings or keep hidden under a mask of indifference, you bare your heart to ones you deem worthy to see it. To have the balls/ovaries to be that vulnerable, knowing that it would be devastating to be rejected for them, mocked for them or even have them taken advantaged of and used against it. To embrace and live that sort of risk...that has my respect.

Honestly, as a guy that takes time to build trust with and even longer to really show that I have needs I can't meet all on my own, it's also an enviable trait. No pain, no gain, right? With every blow that would cripple many others and make them whiney and wallow in pity, you can't stay stuck in your own pain twenty-four/seven. You can make your shell harder to penetrate, but you can't stop the desire to share the warm softness that underneath it. It's something I'm trying to grow into myself as we speak, to be so bold and firm in the feelings and emotions that I normally but aside for matters at hand. I have quite a few people around me that aren't the "soft" type, taking pride in being a hardass, in a sense. So when I see you, show this "weakness" and not only survive but even thrive in this risky place of expression, is one of the most beautiful expressions of your sign to me.

As a Cap, it could be said I'm cold and hard to approach. I know that if I don't want to be bother with anyone, my body will clearly show it. However, a chat with a Cancer in my life can easily make me uncross my arms and make myself temporarily more "open" to others around me. If only for a little while. That said, thank you for bring that kind of power into the world. To ability to smooth the edges of stone-hearted people and give them what they desperately need but refuse to admit, due to pride or shame. Sure your flaws might get mentioned more than your strengths at times, but to me, you guys have my appreciation. You remind me every time you open yourself to others, that even if you get hurt, you'll survive. That living life in a closed off shell of mountain of aloofness isn't truly living and that with the most precious finite resource we have, time, that it shouldn't be wasted living in a bubble unable to be hurt but also unable to be truly yourself as well.

Also I hear you're bitchin cooks and if I play my cards right, someday I'll have eaten a Cancer's home cooking! 😄

Capricorns know how to keep a job dammit. I have never seen anything like it. How to be in control and deal with so many different scenerios on a day to day basis rain or shine, good or bad and quietly have 20 years under their belts.

Problem with Cancer is we take shit so personally, even at work. We work hard and try to be quiet and earn our pay but there is always some asshole who gets under our skins because we look vulnerable and they want entertainment. For a Capricorn to lose their cool at work and actually lose their jobs has to take a serious kind of asshole that is an elite sociopath on top of a piece of shit universally hated by everyone everywhere.

capricorn > cancer

I disagree - intellectually, you guys aren't in the same zip code. That aside, I do agree with OP, we do both care about the same things - mostly financial security.

If you can budget well enough to put the house hold bills, mortgage/rent ahead a month...you quite possibly might get laid by your crab/goat.

Thanks! Don't be too hard on yourselves though, with Caps we can put up with stuff that would be borderline/actual emotional abuse.

It's funny.

So many talk about Cancer's being whinny and emotionally immature, etc

When emotional maturity, like any skill, takes time, effort and trail-error growth in order to achieve.

I doubt many who rant and rave are nearly as nay better as the Cancer's who are too "emotional".

Emotional being "negative" emotions, since nobody bitches when the Cancer is happy and gives you great sex and food, right? 😐

Cancer's get more emotionally stable the older they get. By then they know who they are and understand emotion better than anyone else. When your a little Cancer you experience these emotions that are very strong. That is very scary. Then you have people making fun of you for crying. So you have to go through a process of learning how to deal with strong emotion and how to deal with negative emotion in a constructive manner. Things don't bother you as much the older you get.

Also our ruling planet is the moon. It is always changing. If it can affect the tides and effect people during a full moon, imagine what it feels like for us. I also think the moon aspecting other planets is what causes some moods. If the moon is opposing or squaring other planets I'm sure that affects us as well.

Sadly I don't know many Capricorns. I know only one and he is a very hard worker. He is stable, kind, and shows me I can achieve anything I put my mind to. He also taught me the difference of wants vs needs.

This is a nice politically correct generalization of Cancers, but you need to remember the wise words of Yoda whenever writing up a particularly complicated sign like Cancer.

"But, beware the Dark Side...."

No, he's not the tasty sort. He'd work as chum, though.
