Mr. tate, you broke the machine. And james (the one after the 12th), whatever sign you have "ascending" is whatever sign is on the horizon at the hour you're born in. This "ascending" sign is also the sign of the 1st House in your Zodiac chart, setting the pace for all the other Houses. The way it works is that if you're a Pisces, the first hours of the day (12-2am) would have Pisces on the horizon, ascending. After that (2-4am) would have Aquarius ascending. This sign represents the flavor, if you will, of the immediate impression you make on people based on the image you try and project. (What a wacky idea that someone put mine in Virgo, aye?)

Your moon sign is completely different. Your moon has nothing to do with the Houses, except that, like the Sun and the other eight planets in your chart, it will be in a house, depending on what Zodiac sign the moon was passing through when you were born. Your moon sign is like a mirror, reflecting your inner self or some such astrological mumbo jumbo. Basically, when you think Moon, think tides, then think water, then think most people associate water signs with tears and tears with emotions. The Moon in your chart tells how you are emotionally.

If y'all want to get REALLY complex, there are 3 different subsections for each rising sign, one for every 40 minutes, that are called decants. This is really getting into the science of astrology though, strictly for the most hardcore believers or wannabe believers or bookworms. (...Virgo rising: ironic?) Mostly these decants deal more specifically with what your physical appearance is, like someone with the 2nd decant of a Sagittarius rising would have red hair and wouldn't quite be as tall as a 1st decant, but have more Sagittarian traits, whereas the 1st decant would be more robust with a twinge of Aries helping the looks. The links to every one of the sites that describes these things in detail are in the backlogs of each message board for more specific info, if you'd like. I'm off right now to take a trip down memory lane, back to the good old days of daily beat-downs on the playground for being too much of a bookworm smartaleck.

Josh. Josh! Josh....Josh...that was AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME. I've never been able to understand all the complicated facets of astrology, but you made it pretty logical...some of it is just too mind-twisting for me, but I appreciate the effort very much. But where again would I find these links? I'm confused, I don't know where to turn, I don't know my decants, and I have no idea what my descendant sign is. I'm lost, I've fallen, I don't know where to turn and I can't get up. lol.

Help me? 🙂 I'd really love to learn...

Lol. Well I guess I'd say you know how to push my buttons. I've never heard that line from anybody before in my direction. Would you mind posting, once more (as I'm sure you've done this several times before on this site) as much accurate information on when you were born as you can manage? I'll take your chart and use it as an example for explanatory purposes.

Meanwhile, here are some links:

First off, you're more than a drunk. This I can tell without astrology. Second, I don't know how old you are because I don't know the year you were born in. Lastly, I conclude that I cheat and most everything I know is what they call "regurgitative knowledge." Go to some of those links I gave, and you'll find the stuff I fill far too much of my time with reading and "figuring out." Yahoo dot com is my best friend.
