it's my ex's birthday in july, do i wish him a happy birtday or should i just leave it?
No I don't, unless we have a current working relationship.
My birthday is usually before theirs in the year so if I get a message on the 28th she will get one her birthday if not then no communication. I'm not into being the "bigger" person just a reciprocation of common decency.
From being the first to wish to not wishing at all... Its been a long cruel ride. :/ still hurts like heaven :/
No, you should always move forward.
I used to but not anymore. If we're on good terms and talk regularly then yes but most times I don't talk regularly, to exes just let them be.
NO..keep it moving
Hmm. Those who said no, are you Cancers?
I am Cancer girl and I think I know how TS feels...it's sort of like a habit and it hurts to stop. Maybe because that would mean actually not giving a damn about them, which would add to the feeling of loss.
I guess.
Anyway, I have Facebook and I post a birthday wish to my exs. I do it because everyone does it and it wouldn't seem out of place or like I am doing something extra. I try to avoid doing anything extra for exs because that would seem like I'm trying to get them back and I don't want them to misunderstand. I don't text them or call them to say it because it's not me.
In my opinion if you're certain they won't think too much about it, if you have the habit to regularly wish many of your friends happy birthday, AND you are not doing it just to get her back, then it's ok to do it.
Don't make it too personal, they might think you haven't given up yet and might just avoid you more.
My 2 cents.
