I hadn't even realized he had liked me in that way. Honestly, the conversation doesn't stray much from religion. Which, I am not super religious, but I do enjoy learning other people's beliefs. Well, he hasn't given me the Valentine's gift yet, so I can just not accept it.which is what I was thinking to do. It is funny though, because he said he had thought it would be inappropriate to get me a gift, yet he did it anyway.
Cc, can I reject this attention without ruining a possible friendship?
No, water signs tend to be all in or zero.
We are a very polarizing lot, but Cancers tend to be the ones who confuse the most.
He is clearly trying to court you. You are lucky in that he is being direct. Many Cancers, note I didn't say ALL, tend to ignore the person they want to be with. Then, when the person is hurt and finds someone else, the Crab comes running and tries to break apart the newfound happiness.
Interesting... damn, I guess I forgot what courting was like. When he asked me to do stuff I hadn't realized since it was religion focused and in groups, except for the meal. I kind of thought he was trying to convert me lol.
I do too, cc. I get along much better with guys. My one friend does that...gets a girl and disappears. It bothers me, but we are still friends.
get urself a boo then let the fireworks begin.mwa ha ha ha the Scorch has spoken.
And note this; just say thanks accept the gift move on.... and by you saying friends meaning what?why you here trying to figure him out....hmmmm me thinks u ARE interested in him. The Scorch has spoken.

Scorpiofish got it here, especially the first sentence.
And yes, you are lucky he is being direct-what that means is that he is really interested in you.
Interested in getting to know him because he has good insights. Not so much date. I decided I don't want to date anymore...may just wait until my daughter is off to college. Just enjoy our time together because it goes too quickly.

So, cancer guy isn't listening. How do I get through to him?
We have hung out twice outside of work. Once for a church thing, so with a large group of people, and once we went out to eat. He has asked me to do other things, but I have either said maybe depending on the day (never to be brought up again) or answered, sorry I don't do things with people while I am with my daughter.
Also, twice now he has asked if he could get me a gift. Both times I responded with a polite "You don't need to do that, but thanks for the thought." And let it go. The first time he showed up with a gift I let it slide because he brought stuff for other people, too. This second time is for Valentine's Day. Once again, he still got me something. He sent me a message telling me he got me something. Once again, i told him that he really didn't need to do that.
Am I being too polite? Should I rephrase? The guy is nice enough and I enjoy talking with him. I don't want it to be awkward, but we really don't know each other that well.
