intolerant crab?

I am in a customer service disaster. I ordered stuff from two different places online.

1- I bought 2 items, the next day they receive something new so i buy that too and ask for combined shipment instead of paying for each to save money.
I obviously ask for a new total which would be less for the second order because shipping would be reduced. I get an answer 4 days later telling me they will send me an invoice in the mail! I always pay with Paypal, and they don't even ship before they receive the payment which takes 10 days. It's been a week now so my first order will ship by itself and i will have to pay charges for the second one when they wake up. I email again with my request for a new total and i've been waiting ever since. This is indeed the last time i buy from them, but they have good selection, it sucks.

2-I order books and stuff from another place, one of the items is the wrong one, (i'll ignore that it was stapled on the invoice next to the correct item description), i then email with a picture of the problem and propose to buy the wrong item at a discount instead of charging them for the shipping both ways. I even place a bigger new order and ask that they just ship the right item with that one to save them shipping. I get an answer 3 days later telling me thank you for your order!!!!! W T F
I write back asking that my email be read carefully and my questions answered. I get told that they will ship the right item as soon as they get it.

Ok, is it just ME———??

Now, with ridiculous customer service like that, annoying commercials and loud music in stores, where will i buy stuff— I like to shop, i'm a girly-girl, DESPAIR!!

Just venting, but feel free to comment. Customer service where i work sucks internally, they aren't that good, but at least they make an effort with the clients. I think.

No, it's not just you, I would have thrown some stuff and broken a few things by now if I were in your place.

I hate it when orders get fucked up, it is always a nightmare to get it straightened out.

Both of the payments cleared this morning, so they will probably ship both without having resolved the issue first. It's been over a week.

Wow. I'd *so* be writing all kinds of letters.

I will say this, though: working with the public is a very difficult thing to do. You have to deal with idiots and crazy people all day long. Having had *only* customer service oriented jobs, I can safely say that the one I'm doing right now will be the last. Never again. I'm so over the attitudes, the customers thinking I have control over things I don't, the lack of respect (when those same disrespectful customers could not last .01 second doing the job I do) etc. Having to put on a happy face all day long when really I want nothing more than for all the damn people to get out of my face. I can see how people go postal.

I know that didn't have a lot to do with your post but I needed to vent for a minute 🙂

2- Update: my new order was shipped plus the right item from the first order, "AS AGREED"
When was there an agreement?? I asked and never got an answer. Oh well, it's almost settled now, some items are BO. Imagine, it's not even over.

I've always liked him, but that started long before I played guitar. It's not a requirement or an expected connection as far as I'm concerned.

The problem is i listened to someone who followed him and liked him a lot first, Uli Jon Roth, and he's a lot better and has evolved immensely, so that's why Jimi doesn't do it for me.

Uli was in Scorpio(n)s in the 70s.

Interesting. I will be researching this Uli Jon Roth you mention. Heard of the Scorpio(n)s (lol) but have never heard of him. Better than Hendrix -- now I'm intrigued. 🙂

He has a Hendrix side, and a classical side. And very strange guitars to play each style .

Everything a person could want, all in one guy named Uli. What more could anyone ask for?

I don't think I've ever *really* listened to classical stuff. Maybe somewhere I can find his music online.

I can't wait until some day when I can afford a really cool looking guitar, mine is so boring. I got creative one day and slapped a mermaid sticker on it. lol, but I realize I can't expect a lot for a fifty dollar guitar.

And I can't wait to try electric...I've heard they're easier to play, is this urban legend or is there any truth to that, do you think?

They make thinner strings for electric guitars and a lot of players tune lower to have less tension, so it's quite true.

Cdnow.com have samples usually, Transcendental Sky Guitar, 2cds, cool stuff. And the Scorpions albums too, from 1974 to 1978.
