It finally happened, my sister's best friend's husband passed away on Sunday. He managed to hold on long enough for his best friend and my sister to fly there to say goodbye. Cancer is such an ugly, cruel disease. 😢

At least he was able to say goodbye.
Still a tragic thing considering his age.

It's very tragic. They were soulmates. This is wasn't his first go around with cancer, but he's always fought so hard and so stubbornly and pulled out of it for a bit. This last time it was more than he could beat back, though. We used to tease each other in high school. He called me Devil Woman and I called him Satan....it was an inside joke.

Wow! Sorry to hear that MoonArtist 😢. You & your friends have my sympathy. Just know, that he's in a better place where there isn't pain.

I love True Blood but the past few seasons have been rank.
They could have done better with the story line.
I miss the friendship between Sooki, Lafayette, and Tara.
Once they separated that trio it missed some key components.
But I am so happy for Sam to have found a woman who loves him back.
