Venus Cancer, Gem Guy...typical mind VS Heart?

I just had coffee with my guy friend and he was walking me to my car, when he started talking about the power women have over men...then we stopped at my car and even though I was the only one in front of him he started talking out loud(like to himself) he said "A woman can take everything from a man and leave him with nothing, I just hope you don't do that to me." I'm kind of baffled by this comment since we are only friends...what would I possibly take from him? Is he talking about a possible future with me as his GF? Does he secretly have feelings for me? Gems, please translate! lol.

My question is.. Why didn't you come back with a direct question? Like what do you mean? or you could have been flirty back with him and said " are you hitting on me?" with a big smile on your face so he felt that you were being playful.

Good question...I think if it were any other guy I would have played with it and given a teasing response, but with him I care so much my stupid Cancer Sun wanted to protect him/his feelings and I wanted to reassure him with "I wouldn't do that".and he was like "I dunno" and that was it. It was just so unexpected I was taken off guard and said what first came to mind :/

Yeah, I make him laugh...we're both goofy with our Moon in Sag. But he seemed so serious and contemplative I responded with my heart. I know he is scared of getting hurt in relationships, and well, I just have a pull toward him to protect him. Is that a bad thing?
