This is a great way to put it. The sad part is that the "switch" is different for every person I've dated seriously. So when it does flip, I'm just as surprised as they are.

Just reviewing both sides. I think both want the same thing which is for someone to like the other. Not liking fully seems like a deal breaker for both.

In the end, by being with you he may learn to be more considerate and you more patient because it can't coexist otherwise. Or you both go your separate ways.

Very true. He never fully stated that he didn't want to date, ever. Just that he didn't know how he was feeling because he was down and confused. I should have been more understanding, but he also maybe shouldn't be dating at all and telling me he likes me, etc.

So I basically left him alone for two weeks. We spoke yesterday and we have tentative plans to hangout on Saturday. My gut is that he does like me... I think hes genuinely confused about it though. Which really coincides with all of the comments regarding these placements.
